    Hi all;

    Been awhile since I've been here, trying to put cancer on the rear view as much as possible.

    Found a hard, painfullump directly under my incision/surgery site. I have extensive radiation fibrosis, so in an effort to not make myself nuts, wondering if anyone knows an easy way to differentiate fibrosis from a bone met?

    Thanks in advance.

    Check with your doctor! We cannot diagnose anything here!

    Please check with your doctor littletower. I have extensive bone mets, and none of them have caused a lump. I don't know if that is the same for everyone. Best wishes :)

    My radiation fibrosis is firm; my recurrent cancer was s hard lump like a frozen pea. Bone mets usually do not form a lump. If you have a new lump, it needs to be evaluated. Hoping it is benign

    Hi there, I have radiation fibrosis in my lung too. I cant feel it , but notice it in breathing and I get sick frequently.  Bone mets are in the bone though and as I understand the bone area can feel tender and sore where mets are present. . I'd definitely see your oncologist and explain your symptoms. Let them check you out and do the worrying for you!! Good luck and keep us posted.

    Thanks so much everyone. Emailed my onc, have an appointment with my breast surgeon and taking it from there. I've also been sick with a low grade fever, mild nausea, extreme fatigue and low-grade headache for over a week now. Went to gp yesterday for standard blood tests and hope to get results today.
