My hair - a month after chemo and a year after chemo
I wanted share this photo of me a month after chemo and one year ago, and me now. My hair is blown out and I still have chemo curls but I feel like my old self again. There is hope.
Love and hugs to everyone undergoing treatment now.

Looking good! I see happiness in the smiles in both pictures.

Thanks for the hope! I am five weeks past my last round of Taxotere/ Cytoxin and I have just a tiny bit ofwispy baby hair that doesn't seem too sustainable. Hoping and praying for some growth soon🙏. And you look great!!

thank you for posting this! You look amazing and it's so nice to think of where we will be a year from now with this in our rear view mirror!!!

I was worried I would never be "me" again. It took some time - the chemo curls are disheatening after having straight hair all of my lift. But It's behind me, and I'm doing well. I'm not going to lie, there are some issues I have now that I didn't before treatment, but seriously, I'm alive and I'm flourishing, so I can only look to the positive. I do color my hair - that is a personal decision - but my own hair color is a hideously mousy gray/brown. Always has been.
I wanted to post to share that you will get back to you. For some it takes longer, but you'll get there. It may be a slightly different you than you expected. Cancer is tough, and coming out the otherside does change some things. But I look at the larger picture, and I'm happy to be here.

Wow CJSharma,
You look fantastic! I finished my last round of chemo this morning.
Earlier this spring, my hair was one length past my shoulders. After diagnosis and closer to chemo (neoadjuvant), I cut it to my chin. After pulling out clumps of hair in the shower after round 1, I shaved it off. My stylist was incredibly supportive and styled my wigs closer to my preferred style, and you can't tell I wear a wig. At home, I feel free not wearing my wig or caps (which I do at night as I find my head gets cold).
My hair never completely fell out, as I do notice some has started to grow back on top. Gives me hope.
Your happiness (in your picture) offers hope!
Thank you.

Thanks for the pics - my head is getting shaved Wednesday and as it approaches I get less and less happy. I try to focus on each day and not the enormity of the entire situation, because then I get anxious.

I am 5 months past chemo, my hair is growing back slow. I am still getting Herceptin which some say slows it down and I had taxotere that they advertise law suits for hair not growing back so I am happy for what I have. It is pretty thick covering my head, I have hope. I love seeing your picture with hair, it's great to feel 'normal'.
