First day back to school today. I'm very happy to report it was a fantastic day. I only had 15 first graders show up today. I'm tired but very happy with the day.

Oh Kira, I am so happy to hear that you had such a wonderful first day back at school! and that you only had 15 children I always like it when you can get under 20 children. I hope the rest of the school year goes well for you and your school children give you all the love and energy you need to enjoy every moment with them.

I went back to school yesterday. I loved seeing all of my little preschoolers I got lots of hugs from them. The sad part was that my director told me that I could not come back to work until September some BS about not being able to pay me because of the budget. I wish she would have told me earlier instead of wait until the day I started back at work. She told us at our staff meeting last week that she was having difficulties with the budget.

Feeling sad and disappointed right now I am going to miss my "children" so much and some of my preschoolers are going off to kindergarten, and I wont see them again. But I guess the upside is that I get few extra weeks to heal. I have a second job so that can hold me over. I wish my director was a little more considerate I have been through so much this summer and now I have one more thing of crap! to add to my already crappy summer.

Kira if you or anyone else has any cute or fun school stories can you please share them with me? I would love to live vicariously through you! I am going to miss my preschoolers so much, but if I hear about other children it would make me feel better and get me through the next 3 weeks Thank You!

    Hugs and Love to all

Ms627 I can mention one that really touched my heart. One of my children from years ago came up to me and said I was her " very best teacher and tells everyone to ask for me." She also said how happy she was when she realized I'd be her teacher in first grade. I'd been her kindergarten teacher. Her group of kids were the sweetest kids. This was Wednesday at open house

Sm627, my 4-year-old granddaughter started preschool Tuesday morning. Too excited to eat breakfast--new school clothes, a new little backpack and lunch bag. She's so adorable.

This preschool is all day, and naps are agendized after lunch. Worst part of her day? "They made me leave my clothes on for naps." No stripping down to princess panties in preschool, I guess!

    Hi Sbelizabeth,

I hope your granddaughter enjoys her preschool years. So sorry she can't strip down at nap time. Sometimes at my preschool if it is very hot then I will let my "children" take off some of there closes, so they cool off and enjoy their nap time. You know every since I had my mastectomy this summer I appreciate taking naps a lot more then I ever did before.

Wishing you and your granddaughter the very best in preschool and in life.

    Hugs,

    Sara
