Really REALLY Nervous
My mom recently got the reports after feeling some lumps; BI RADS 5.
RIGHT SIDE
- lymph nodes swollen & tumor(s) in breast
LEFT SIDE
- Thermal Imaging showing signs of "action" in Lympth Nodes and I belive there are tumors there too. And there is some worry that this could be Metastasic.
This is a nightmare. I dont't know whrre to begin. I know she isn't dying rn ( dhe continues to go to the gym, and feels fine, just shaken), we go for her Biopsy on Wednesday. Any idea what we're instore for over the next few months? she is staying with us in Boston, and is getting her Biopsy here.

Thermography, and It's showed abnormal heat around the lymph nodes on the left side of the body

Thermography is specifically NOT approved by the FDA as a breast diagnostic tool. What doctor and facilitywould do a biopsy based on unapproved imaging?

The fact she is able to work out at the gym is a good sign. When I was diagnosed, I was chronically tired. I could barely make it through the work day. That is when I knew something was wrong. I needed to take naps when I got home. First thing my doctor ask was how is your energy level. Even if she does have cancer, it may not be advanced. I have it in the lymph nodes and it is still considered local.

htmaxwell, I agree with MelissaDallas, thermography is not a validated diagnostic tool. what does the report from the mammogram (and most likely ultra sound) say? While some approved imaging sources (mammo, us, mri) may indicate a high likelihood of breast cancer, the biopsy gives the definitive results.
