Has anyone else experienced this? I had radiation to my left breast in 2007 with lumpectomy for DCIS. Five years later diagnosed in right breast with TNBC stage IIIB, underwent six rounds of TAC with subsequent double mastectomy and opted for immediate reconstruction with tissue expander and silicone gel implants placed. Now 4 years post reconstruction and experiencing redness and warmth with pain in ribs in my left breast which had the radiation. Feeling concerned but just moved to new state and have not established with new doctors.

Well, it is late to be an infectious process, so it could be a type of radiation side effect, lymphedema, or even red breast syndrome. Are you having any swelling? Any fever? It would be good to find an experienced person to look you over. Perhaps ask rhe boards for recommendations of a new BS in your new area?
