His appetite had returned and no fever this afternoon. He was joking around. Then about an hour after I returned from my parents' place, my sister called and told me the fever/chills came back. Sigh. The burning during urination has improved though so the antibiotics must be working. If the fever continues tomorrow, we will take him to urgent care clinic. Poor mom didn't get any shut eyes at all yesterday checking on him through out the night. At on each point, my sister overheard him telling my mom " Woman, stop poking at me and let me sleep." She was just trying to take his temperature and wiping the sweats off his forehead. Those two bicker like children sometime. Thank you for the well wishes.

You are right....it's hard to travel when you have a dog. Oh that was snow on the mountain..,but it was quite warm though.

Cute little guy you have there.

Loverly - Sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope he will be much improved by morning and you don't have to take him to Urgent Care. He doesn't seem like he'd be real thrilled about it.

Also, Kirby's paw is all better. He slept most of the day on the couch and when I took him out this evening he didn't act as if he had any discomfort. If it was a bee sting, it didn't leave any lasting effects. Thankfully!

Lookie - Very nice pic. of you and your DH. Plus, the pics of the gardens were beautiful too. Your daughters dog looks like a sweetie.

Okay, I am off to bed. I hope everyone sleeps well. Goodnight!

Feline ~ I hadn't thought of how a piano would stay in tune out in the elements. You must be a musician? Such a talented lady you are! My BFF lives in Nashua, New Hampshire. The city started placing pianos in different spots around town last year. His wife will end up giving mini concerts whenever they come across one. I'll have to ask her about how the pianos are properly maintained outside.

Lookie ~ Thank you for asking about my eyes. They are so much better now! I can even read numbers again! I'm not cleared for driving yet.....hoping that will happen soon. How funny about your grandpuppy; we are babysitting our grandpup too! Ours is a Boston Terrier. Very friendly but not very bright. Your grand is a "real"dog and is quite lovely. Wanna trade? :)

JunieB ~ Big sigh of relief your boy is feeling better. If only they cold talk and tell us what is wrong :(

    Loverly ~ (((hugs))) and prayers

Wishing all a restful night full of happy dreams 💕💤

    Hi Shep,

not a musician just artsy, always hanging with the arts crowd. DD is a dancer and sings as well, DS used to sing in national children's choir (he's 21 now). Both did piano and gave up, in DD's case to concentrate on ballet. Worst thing for going out of tune, so I have heard, is the harp. It's said if you open a door a harp goes out of tune

Loverly, hoping your Dad is on the mend soon. Truly I think the biopsy is inevitable once any kind of symptoms present, even if physician is hopeful of NED Without biopsy they cannot determine whether cancer is present and IF present what grade the cancer is, grade determining the aggressiveness. If present initial staging will be attempted by scans. Prostate cancer grading and staging is actually quite different from BC. However I do hope that the tests will prove NED. XXX

Lookie - Really wonderful pictures, will have to put that on my "list". Is the piano always there?

Shep - Thanks, here I am. Thuy told me you were thinking about me during my scary testing time. I'm really glad to have a clear result but just now realizing how worried I've been all these years. Hope you are doing well and thank you again for your kind thoughts.

Peppy ~ So happy to see you! And very relieved your scans were clear. Fear is an awful thing.... our clever minds are no help either. What we imagine is not always as bad as what is real. Hope your Gus Gus Kitty helps to chase the creepy crawlies out. Kitties are naturally gifted at chasing the bogeyman away. Plus, you always have us! (((HUGS)))

Happy birthday Sas. Sorry we didn't meet up. The sad part was the vendor hall was open to the public, new this year. It used to be limited to members and those that paid for the conference.

Lover, how fast the babies grow. How old is your niece now? Evie is already 19 mos.

junieB, has Kirby's color changed? He seems much lighter than when he was little?

Last day tomorrow at the parks, going to hit 2 of them, Epcot and magic kingdom. Then home on Tuesday. Sas, don't like your weather here, too much humidity. 😱

Night all. Be good out there.

Smaarty - Yes, Kirby has gotten lighter. A Cairn Terriers coat color changes their entire life. All of the black that was on Kirby's muzzle & ear tips is now charcoal gray, plus the black tips on his back are also gone. He also had his first haircut a few weeks ago too which has made him appear even lighter.

We here in the NW we are experiencing a massive heat wave this week. 97 today, 102 tomorrow, 110 Wednesday, etc. Sunday is supposed to be still in the 90's, but if we survive this week, next week is supposed to be back down in the 80's. Much more tolerable. Weather like this is quite unusual for us and at least 50% of the population here does NOT have A/C. This is very distressing/dangerous for the elderly and the homeless in our area. Although Kirby will be a very unhappy pup, he isn't going with me this week either if I have to go anywhere. Don't want him to have heat stroke.

A couple weeks ago I posted that my latest CT showed a new spot on my left 5th rib. After nearly 2 weeks of phone calls by Palliative Care and myself, plus me calling the patient advocate and finally calling my MO to have her order a re-read, the tentative results are that they feel that it is a healing fracture and NOT a new met. Whew! Still waiting for last portion of results where they compare my last bone scan to this CT, just to verify. Man oh man!, was starting to feel like I'd need an act of Congress to get this done. However, at this point with the disarray our governmental houses are in, even that wouldn't have helped me.

So Miss Sassy, How was your Birthday? Did you enjoy your dinner?

Well that's all for now, I have paperwork I need to get to so I can submit it tomorrow, so good day for now ladies.

Junieb, I think people in the business of taking care of patients should go through a "simulation" or maybe "how to be compassionate course. So sorry for your additional stress.

We are having heat wave here too. Feline, aren't you glad to live in Ireland??

Loverly, I worked at a HMO that gave classes on treating elderly patients. The leader put popcorn kernels in their shoes, cotton in their ears, and made them wear smeary glasses. I imagine it encouraged them to be a little more understanding.

Afternoon Owlies. thank you to the newer b'day greetings since my last post,

Lookie and the Paint Guy. He was so good and soothing. Loved him. Everyone was so sad at hiss passing.

TEKA thank you and so hay no one got into the skunks. Phew..

Smarty, Thank you ;) timing was off here too, last few days would not of worked for me either. I'll catch you next time? The humidity is worse than usual. If your group considers another Florida trip suggest March, April, or first two weeks of May. They are more dependable for heat, rain, hurricane, humidity. April is the most beautiful by far.

Yogagirl Thank you, and thanks for all the info. I can't cut andante right now. Mouse needs a battery. It's always something.

Sensei Thank you appreciated. How's Chance?
