Thin Slices of Joy

Mashed potatoes were especially yummy tonight!

Fly in the house. Pup is on the hunt. I've asked teen daughter to assist her. Pup is so excited! This fly is slippery.
-
My daughter came home with homemade jams from her boss. Strawberry rhubarb, peach saffron, and green tomato orange. Delicious! I loved the last one.
I find nerve flossing is helping with my minor setback. I know I've posted links to different nerve flossing techniques throughout this thread. Wish they were altogether. I can't remember all of them.
-
Thanks Serenity, you just reminded me to do my daily nerve flossing. It has helped me so much. I went for a 4 hour walk up a mountain yesterday, and felt fine (well a bit tired, but no pain whatsoever)!
-
ScotBird - That's fantastic! I'm back to nerve flossing twice a day.
Need a smile? Watch this:
-
I needed that smile today, thanks Serenity
-
magiclight - Hope today goes better for you.
This is joy:

One of the things I do more often is appreciating the things I already have. Today I had some leftovers for lunch. It tastes much better when eaten from a nice dish. I love these pasta bowls (though we hardly eat pasta now). I've had a set of these for at least 15 years. I like broiler-safe dishes. They tend to be durable.

Just chatted with my older daughter over coffee. This may be our last year with her living with us before she goes to graduate school. Cherishing these moments.

Otters and butterfly

Love the otters Serenity!
I went to a traditional Highland Games today, complete with many bagpipes, much dancing, a tug of war and sometossing of the caber! The weather was beautiful and we were there with good friends: perfect day. X
-
I've seen the Highland Games in Nova Scotia! It was very cool to watch.
But you know what they were missing? Kilted Yoga...
-
serenity - yes, better today. I never see any kilts in my yoga class, maybe I am in the wrong venue. Off to the wood I'll go !!
-
serenity - yes, better today. I never see any kilts in my yoga class, so off to the woods I'll go!!! Enjoy your time with you daughter as summer winds down and her graduate life begins.
-
HaHa Serenity I didn't see that at the Highland games. There were a lot of kilts, but no yoga! Forest bathing has a whole new meaning!
-
Forest bathing would be more popular if we could come across the Kilted Yoga guys!
-
Voice of my youth. She brought many joys.
-
This guy is brilliant.
-
I slept over 7 hours last night! Felt well enough to work a full day. My sleep has been horrible for the past 2 weeks. I've had a hard time focusing.
-
Awwww. Need adorable?
-
Sounds much more sophisticated than Still Life with Eggplants.
-
Just need a map to the Kilted Yoga guys.
-
I love the rule that firemen are extremely attractive!
They came to check our smoke detectors. Instead of full gear, they were wearing shirts and shorts. The better to see the muscles, my dear.
-
I really like having music playing in the bathroom. A little dance makes dry brushing, showering, lotion-ing, and toothbrushing a bit more interesting.
I think the dry brushing, some postural alignment exercises, and arm nerve gliding are causing some tingling in the numb area of my arm. The area of numbness seems smaller, too. Maybe I should dry brush the one little numb area between my toes. At least I don't notice it all the time.

Found a direwolf in Montreal!

My pup is a slacker!

Sunday mornings.

My pup is this every day...
