Its been along time since I posted. In 2009 at 46 years diagnosed with DCIS in left breast. After several consults and second opinions elected bilateral mastectomy--no radiation or chemo. Lymph nodes were clean and menopause was knocking at my door--elected not to proceed with tamoxphin.

Now have a 3 1/2- 4cm lump in left breast. Its at the top of the breast and ultrasound 2-days agoshows irregular. Had a OB/GYN exam about 4 months ago with a breast exam and nothing was abnormal.

I noticed it last week when I couldn't get comfortable and I had a dull ache. Breast is fuller and seems tight. Schedule for biopsy on Friday and then have to wait 3-5 days for results.

Concerned about size and how fast it seemed to grow. Anybody had similiar experience? Any insight or thoughts are welcome.

ehall, I haven't had a similar experience, but just wanted to let you know I'm sorry you're going through this waiting and worrying again. I also wanted to get you bumped up where someone else who's been through this might see your post. Sending you positive thoughts and warm ((hugs))
