Pregnant and scared

I'm 28 weeks pregnant, awaiting a lumpectomy. I'm starting to panic. What do I have to look forward to? How is it different from a needle core buopsy

    With a needle core biopsy they are just taking a sample of cells to check for pathology.  With a lumpectomy they are removing all the cells in an area that was noted by scanning and a biopsy.  Surprisingly I've seen posts from many women who are pregnant at the time of a diagnosis, however I am not one.  You might do a search for the word pregnant and look at some of those posts.
