lung nodule?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last June, tumor at each breast. one ER+ and one TNBC. I was told I caught them very early and my prognosis was very good. tumors were both only 5mm and lymph nodes were clear. I went through four rounds of TC chemo and have been on letrozole since to treat the ER+ tumor.

Anyway, I recently noticed a lump above my collar bone and was sent in for a neck CT. The neck CT revealed a 1.4cm nodule at my suprasternal notch. CT also capture the upper corner of my lungs and found a 5mm nodule on my right lung. I start to get really worried now knowing TNBC can be very aggressive. My oncologist is out today but I have left a message for the nurse. Then I read from here that lung nodule is often benign? Anyone with similar experience?

Thanks!

Esully, I'm not triple negative, but I've seen quite a few people worried about lung nodules only to find out that they are benign.  My guess is that they will do imaging again in a few months and see if there is any change.  Chances are very high that it is benign.

Anniedreat, turned out my nodule was some old scar tissue. However, my most recent chest CT showed two ground glass lung nodules 4mm. My oncologist said she's not worried at all and would do another follow up at 3 months. I also recently traveled to Asia and had to chest code and cough. She thought that could be it. I have no symptoms though. What did you find out about yours? Sending your positive thoughts!

My last PT scan that I had after neoadjuvunct chemo showed I had nodule in my lung. I was exposed to TB when I was a child, and I believe it is going to turn out to be benign scar tissue from that. I had a complete response to chemo, and all the samples they sent with my lumpectomy and 5 lymph nodes were clean after my surgery following my chemo. I finished my last radiation treatment Feb 15th, and my oncologist told me she would be ordering CT scans from time to time to keep an eye on it, but she didn't see any evidence of that nodule being malignant. She concurred that it is likely from my childhood exposure. My mom has never had breast cancer but she also has a similar nodule, and I expect we both have it for the same reason. I'm trying not worry, but it's definitely on mymind these days because of how agressive TNBC is supposed to be. Good luck.
