Finding PS who does 1-stage direct-to-implant reconstruction?

Hi - I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and am planning to have a double prophylactic mastectomy later this year due to high-risk. I consulted with two plastic surgeons and both primarily do 2-stage reconstructions and seem very resistant to 1-stage direct-to-implant. One gave me a 20% chance and the other said he wouldn't do one if it is a nipple-sparing surgery.

From what I've read, I'm a good candidate for direct-to-implant, and my sister had it done in another city earlier this year without any hesitation from her surgeon. I think it may be a case of finding someone trained and experienced in 1-stage reconstruction.

Is there a resource for finding PS experienced in direct to implant? Anyone from Milwaukee, Madison or Chicago with a ps to recommend? Thanks!

    the FORCE website (see link above) has a patient experience contact tool. Women who have recon and are willing to talk with their experience with different plastic surgeons. There seems to be a ps in the Chicago area who does "one step" "also called "direct to implant" recon. A number of women on that site have used him and you can contact them about their experience.

    I personally have no experience with this type of recon. This list may possibly be a start for info but I would carefully further research any ps whose name appears.
