Pregnancy mid-tamoxifen? MD recommendations for NY/NJ

Hi all, I was diagnosed way back in October 2015 and have been taking tamoxifen since March 2016. I have one son, who's 4, but I have not been able to get rid of the desire for another baby!! Trust me I am trying really hard to do that, because I know it's better for me, etc. But I see that so many people have had babies in the middle of their tamoxifen treatment - with their doctor's approval! - and they go on to be ok. Do any of you have a doctor recommendation in NY/NJ that was ok with this? My oncologist is adamant that I wait until the 10 years of tamox are up. I guess I'd like a second opinion on the matter before I give up the idea completely. (MSK said they wouldn't see me for a 2nd opinion unless I had been newly diagnosed.)

I don't know of any docs in that area since I live in a different state, but my MO mentioned to me that if I want to stop tamoxifen after a few years to have a baby, I can. I don't plan on having another, because I'm already 39 and can't imagine having the energy to chase around another one when I'm pushing my mid-forties. So one and done for us, but that's ok! And it was nice of her to consider that.

Sharing this so you know there are some MOs out there who are ok with it! Hope you find someone you feel you can work with!
