Fluid in lungs

My pet scan showed I had fluid in my lungs. Has anyone else had this

problem? I do not have a cough or breath bad.

    Hi Caall1234,

    Yes, I was originally diagnosed with pneumonia, which was a misdiagnoses. I had a plural effusion that caused my left lung to collapse and required draining twice. The breast cancer was diagnosed through the plural fluid. I didn't have much of a cough, but what I did notice I was winded pretty easily, which was a concern as I use to be a runner and never had issues with my lungs.

    caall1234, I also had a peural effusion, also cancer related.  I had extreme shortness of breath.

    I do not know what the plan is with me. I do not have shortness of breath or a cough. I breath fine. He

    did not say what he was going to do about it. I did have some fluid around my heart. So I have to

    have a ehocardigram on it. I think the med I was taking caused it. I was on afinitor. Where you on

    it to?

    No, I've not taking afinitor.  My mets were diagnosed when I had the pleural effusion and I took femara alone for 18 months and when I had progression, I moved on to faslodex and Ibrance.  I'm just finishing my 5th cycle.

    I have fluid in lungs after Chemo iv. What worked for you to clear up fluid? After chemo and pain pills... Now high blood pressure, which I always had Low. Also my temp goes from 97 to 94. Do you know cause? Severe bone pain after chemo.


    I have stage IV BC, er+,PR+,her2- . Rate 3.tumor on disc that is wrapped around spinal cord. 4 spots on liver. Taxol made it grow from .9 to 1.9 ! The doc was shocked! Now Lipton shot to block eggs, LETROZOLE pills & just started Ibrance pills

    I want to do immunotherapy. Has anyone tried it with BC IV, hormone based?
