Happy Birthday Jackson
-
He says Thanks!!!!
As if it wasn't hot and humid enough yesterday, the high speed setting on one of my living room ceiling fans died! Had to have a box fan down here yesterday to help keep cool. After dinner we went to see if we could find a fan for the living room we could put over by where hubby sits so we could both stay cool. Found one and set it up last night. Works like a charm. The ceiling fans were put in by the previous owners so I am a little anxious about trying that ceiling fan until this stupid heat wave is over.

Hello to all,
I am 2 years & 10 mos. out from my initial DX of the mets in my T11. Been doing so well that I kinda felt like things would continue on as is for a lot longer. Had a CT scan of my neck, chest, abdomen & pelvis yesterday, foolishly expecting the same results as before (Nothing new). Well there appears to be a new lesion on my left 5th rib that wasn't on scans before. Report says that it could be a healing fracture OR new mets. Well I certainly haven't had any traumas or falls to my chest in the last 6 mos. So now I wait because my Dr. is on vacation until next week. As any of you can relate, I just have to wait to see what is next and try not to let my brain go whacko in the meantime.
Sensi - So glad you enjoyed your vacation and have another to look forward to for next year. How is Chance doing? I bet he was very happy to see you when you got home.
Smaarty - So good to see your post. Been wondering what had happened to you. Evie is growing so much and cute as ever. Hope your kids can move back near you. Have a great time at the quilting convention.
Feline - I am with you on the heat & humidity topic. Don't like it at all!
M0mmy - I am late to the party (as usual), but please wish Jackson a belated Happy Birthday!
Well I am going to lay down now, still tired from yesterday and today's emotional upheaval. Catch you all later.
-
Sas, did you unplug the keyboard and plug it in again to the computer? Did you reboot? Did you check the battery on your keyboard? Did you check for keyboard updates? Are you using windows? Explorer? Mac? mozilla Fox, whichever check for updates.
-
Happy Birthday Jackson!
Chance was very happy to see me. His breathing is ok, as long as he doesn't get too excited. I keep going back and forth on the surgery. I'll more than likely do it, just need to figure out best time. My one roommate will be moving within the next month and taking her fur baby with her. Thinking it might be best to wait until she is gone, as Chance does get excited when she get's excited.
another pic from my trip
-
Jackson said to say thanks for all the birthday wishes.
-
Sensi, congrats on the free trip YAY. maybe I shouldn't hang up on those giveaway calls hahaha. Glad Chance is doing okay. Your tan looks nice.
Thanks Mommy hope Jackson was well fed and happy on his b'day.
Junkie, praying.
Hi EEyore, how are you feeling?
Where's Loverly? Thursday---- working
-
Hi Mari, I need a tutorial on all the computer questions. This is driving me nuts.
-
He was Sas!
Catching crap from hubby because I decided to use my bread maker to make zucchini bread and he thinks it's too hot to do that today. Told him that the bread maker doesn't heat up the house when it bakes and I've used it before with no problem in the heat.

Bigtime bad news on Neurontin and lyrica
https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/73/topics/857195?page=1#idx_1
-
Day 4 of a 5 day heat wave today. Going to get stuff done around the house before it gets too hot and all I want to do is sit in my chair.
-
How'd the bread go yesterday?
-
MOmmy, welcome to the dog days of DC weather. In the past two weeks, out temps have been in the 90s with humidity except for one day that came in at a cool 86, lol not. We will be like this through August and some of September. Storms can be a mixed blessing this time of year as they can add to the humidity. Ah the joys of part of your city being filled in swamp land
-
We've seen days hotter than this here. The week we moved into our house 11 years ago, it was over 100 for a week.
-
Know what you mean. It's nothing for us to have stretches of 100 degrees with the humidity. It's the humidity that's so draining.
-
Feline, the bread turned out perfectly.
I agree Kath. It stinks!
-
Did someone say heat wave??? I am still recovering from our trip to Redding last week for DD2 swim meet. Heat can zap the energy out of me. Glad it was dry heat. Can you imagine 100° with 100% humidity??
-
Here is a picture of DD2 getting ready to jump in the water during a relay. I wanted to jump in the pool with her.
They didn't win the relay, but had fun and mom had a blast watching them.
-
Ms. Sas, so sorry about your friend. Interesting about your intuition. Hope your friend's daughter get the help and support she needs.
Not surprised about the news regarding Neurontin and Lyrica.
Sensi, nice tan!! Were you able to salvage your phone. Give Chance boy a kiss for me.
Happy Belated Birthday to Jackson! Do you have picture of him. I don't remember ever seeing his picture.
Ms. S, love Evie's round eyes. Cute as a bug.
Here are pictures of Mia:
The child is a character.
Eeyore, War only destroys. I am sorry to hear your parents went through it too. I think as long as man rules, we can't escape wars. Thank you for asking about Dad. He is doing better. Hoping his neurologist will wean him off of Neurontin on his next appointment. Just found out he has enlarged prostate so he is seeing a urologist. Always sumthin'. What's life without challenges?? Heaven! Ha!
Wait Shep, I just noticed your avatar sllooks different than the one I got.
Hello to all my other friends....including my lurking friends.

Here is a pic of my sweet 10 yr Jackson
-
oh, he's a beauty.
-
M0mmy ~ How mean of you to have kept such a handsome fellow all to yourself! Oh that sweet face and lovely tufty ears! I'm guessing Sheltie as he looks much too youthful to be a 10 year Collie. (I do have a soft spot for both breeds) You must share every picture you have of him - not all at once of course, but as often as you can. And stories too! Hope he had wonderful birthday 🎂 🐶
How is your Princess? I don't think we have seen her since she was a little kitten. We need Princess pictures too! 😻
-
Sweet eyes!
-
Yep, Jackson is a Sheltie. He's been through a lot with me. As for Princess here is a picture I took of her last Christmas. She'll be 3 in September.
-
OOH beautiful!
-
She is beautiful and can be a handful
