My turn - diagnosed today
I don't have all the info yet, but the doc called today and they did find "ductal" cancer in my biopsy. I know ER+ and PR+. Meeting with breast surgeon first thing tomorrow.
Per my initial mammogram and u/s, there's a 1.6 cm mass, nodes looked "typical", and they saw nothing else suggesting of malignancy anywhere else. I know this could change, but I'm staying positive with what I know so far.
I'll update my signature line when I know more.

((Hugs)) justbeatgeno.....
I remember being told I had IDC. My radiologist had strongly suspected that I had cancer, but the biopsy report made it official. Being ER+/PR+ is good as it makes hormonal therapy a possibility. Hope you have a productive meeting with your breast surgeon tomorrow! At least you won't have to wait long for that appointment!

I hope the news is as good as possible! I have IDC, but it wasn't confirmed until after my mastectomy, as it was hiding in a bunch of DCIS. Earlier confirmation can give you more treatment options, I believe

Thank you all. It feels good to have a place to "think out loud".
So far things look good (good being a relative term, considering I have cancer, right?). But, there's one "hmmmm??" issue. The lump I felt (which the breast surgeon felt too) is NOT the cancer that was found/tested over the past week. The palpable lump doesn't show up on Mammogram. So, I go for an MRI on Monday to see if we can figure out what the lump is.

So sorry you are here -- but glad you've found such a supportive group. I literally could not have made it through this without the advice and understanding I've found here.
As I've so often said lately to others newly diagnosed, because it was SO true for me: the more you learn, and when you are able to put together a plan, the better this gets. It's simply overwhelming at first to even grasp the terminology used. Take a breath when you can. And ask for anxiety meds if you need them. For the first time in my life, I kinda did. They helped.
Ask questions! We're here.
Hugs to you.
