hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone else has or had sensitivity and pain almost like a bruised feeling where the drains were taken out about a month after the mastectomy with reconstruction? I am more sensitive on the side that I had the sentinel lymph nodes removed which is my left side. Just wondering if anybody else has had this ? I still feel tender and sore. The skin is not red or hot or hard feeling . Thank you !

Yep! I was sore mostly in those areas in fact. It got better by around 6 weeks after surgery.

Heck yeah! Soreness for sure. If you haven't had your final follow up appointment, you might want to ask your BS about it and about adhesions. I had soreness and some pain in the area of my drain incision (they used the same scar over and over to minimize the sheer number of scars I would have). I left the area alone (cuz it hurt) and I ended up with an adhesion. I think that if I had known about massaging the area, it might not have formed. But you should check with your surgeon. I really do wish I didn't have my adhesion, it detracts from all of the careful recon work :/
