Spread to Kidneys?

Hello! My mom was recently diagnosed with TNBC. She went in earlier this week for a bone scan, CT scan, and MRI. The bone scan came back good but the CT/MRI showed something on her kidney. She goes in tomorrow for an ultrasound of her kidney to get a better look.

My question is, I thought I'd heard it's uncommon for BC to metastasize to the kidney, is that right? Does it make it more likely since she's triple negative?

    popples, just doubled checked with cancer.gov, who confirms the main sites of bc mets are: bone, liver, brain and lung. That doesn't mean it can't go elsewhere, only that those are the typical presentation of mets for bc. Hoping it is something b9, like a cyst. ((hugs))
