How accurate was your estimated tumor size?

Just wondering how accurate your tumor size was by ultrasound when compared to after surgery?

Mine was right on but many aren't so it is hard to know.

Mine was close: 1.2cm from imaging and 0.9cm after surgery.

Biopsy said 2 cm. MRI said 4 cm. Sx showed 7 cm. Nothing is conclusive until you see your sx path.

Mine .8mm US/biopsy, then estimated 1.2 with MRI. Came in at 1.8mm.

However, I'm ILC, which is often larger due to the way it grows (in sheets).

US: 7mm. Biopsy: 9mm. Surgical path: 1.3 cm. Until they can see the actual tumor “in the flesh," it’s always a guesstimate.

Mine was estimated to be 1.5cm and turned out to be 2.8cm. I was shocked.

My lump was so close to the skin, my surgeon pulled out a ruler and measured it at 4.0cm. Sx 4.5cm

9mm turned out to be 7mm

Mine was very close. Ultrasound said 1.25 cm. Ended up being 1.2 x 1.3 x 1.4cm.

Imaging said .8 cm. (8 mm). The first surgery specimen was "at least" 2.1 cm. (21 mm.) and there was still some in the surgery site.
