Hello everyone,

I am 22 weeks pregnant and have had breast pain since I first found out about pregnancy which just won't go away. I spoke to my ob and she blamed it on hormones. Later in April, I developed redness and rash under my left breast to which she said it was most like mastitis infected and prescribed me antibiotics. They didn't help at all so she sent me in for ultrasound. They found several breast mass and asked me to do another course of antibiotics and then come back for an ultrasound. I did, the pain went away and I went back for ultrasound. They found a 5.6 cm mass in my breast and 1.7 cm in my armpit ordering a biopsy for me. I had core needle biopsy done yesterday and now a waiting for results. I am pretty scared-!any help with what's going on?

Sorry you are going through this---that's a lot to deal with especially being pregnant! Did they give you an idea of how soon you'll hear some results?

Oh my goodness! As anxiety is hard on not only the mommy, but the developing baby, I'm hoping that they put a rush on your results. If they didn't mention that, why not call and ask them? Sending positive thoughts for b9 results!

they said it can be 3-7 days for results. The radiologist ruled out mastitis saying if it was an infection it would go away with antibiotics so now they are suspicious of cancer. I am 33 with no history of any breast cancer on my maternal or oatebral side so I m hoping it's all benign and just something pregnancy related but still scared.. I just be want this wait period to be over now :(

I got my results and it's not cancer!! Phew :)

I thought I will update in case someone stumbles across this post so they know odds of not having cancer are in their favor! Most biopsies turn out to be benign. For everyone else who is dealing with it, I wish you good luck and good health. Take care!
