    Hello. We just found out today that my moms tumor (1.5cm) is triple negative. She was DX in 2015 and had a lumpectomy and rads and a couple a weeks ago, this new one was found. Along with the triple neg, her Ki67 is 80%. I know what that all means technically but I just don't know, does she still have a good prognosis or does this make it much harder?

    She is scheduled to start chemo on 7/17 followed by a bilateral mastectomy.

    popples - sorry to hear about your Mom. But it would be better if you pick one thread and post there. Most of us aren't going to go back & read the back story on several different threads, but it's valuable. What chemo are they recommending? If the chemo can shrink the tumor before surgery, that will be good. Are they recommending rads after sursgery?
