You are totally, wonderfully beautiful! I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your special time in the town!
-
Don't let a stupid person ruin your day. You are beautiful inside and out
-
You look great and kids are brats. Rock that baldie!
-
Sorry if I'm intruding, but just wanted to say how beautiful you are! And yeah kids can be brats.

You are gorgeous! The Syrian kid... he is just woefully uneducated.

it was great! I felt like a star!

It's weird, when you have cancer, people feel sad, when you are bald they laugh. İt was not just the kid, some grown ups did that too. People are phony! Not sincere!
Know what? I'll be walking around more bald.
Not my choice to become like that, so be it. They can laugh and look at me weird all the time. I'll enjoy my 3rd time.baldness
))
Thanx for all the compliments btw.
)))

I wonder if they are just clueless that you are bald because of cancer. I can kind of understand kids (at least ones that haven't been raised properly,) but surely no adult would laugh if they knew why you'd lost your hair!
-
My take is that their laughter is because 1) they assume you shaved your head and are trying to be hip and trendy, since you are made up and "don't look sick," or 2) they realize you might be having chemo and, taken aback, they laugh with nervousness. Maybe some are even wondering if you might be Tilda Swinton trying on another persona for an upcoming role!

You look like an exotic French model, Ebru. You rock the look.
-
You look amazing Ebru. Hold your head up high.
I made a decision when I was first diagnosed in 2001 - I would wear a hat to work but once there, hat came off and too bad if people had issues. I took the same approach this time as well and everyone manages to deal with it (or they don't say anything).
I hate wigs. They are itchy and really bother me after an hour or so. I have one for those 'special' moments but so far, I've worn it once. I'm a professional in government but refuse to be uncomfortable for anyone. Dealing with too much other stuff to care!

You rock that look Ebru and I hope you partied like a rock star. I think we have to get to the point where we can just look people in the eye with a "screw you" attitude (while smiling of course)

abso-effing-litely!
This time tound, I feel more cmfy bald.. so don't really care about the reactions. The pregnancy belly -congrats all the time- are weird enough.. let me have the liberation of up to some point.
And still in Istanbul! Half summer passed altedy. Hope new treatment is tolerable and works!

Agreed, you look beautiful
-
Ebru,
You really look stunning! Love your confidence and your wanting to live all aspects of life despite this dumb cancer - awesome!
Are you now on Halaven? I thought I saw you posting once or twice on that thread but wasn't sure if you actually started that treatment. I'll be starting that in a few weeks.
Take care and keep your lovely pics coming

So glad that you have made it to your favorite place– with or without hair!
*susan*
-
Ebru, you rock. Glad you made it to one of your favorite places. En
-
You look stunning! Such a beautiful face, you don't need hair to look good
Anyone who was laughing must have thought you are trying to go for that edgy, rock star, model look.

You r very brave and I respect it! But kids are kids, no matter where they are from, Syrian, American or Chinese, they are innocent. They do not realise. We alI have seen some videos, it is all over the instagram of Siriyan kids being killed with chemical weapon, when they die slowly in crazy pain, their parents being killed there and I can not stop crying when I think about them. I am also a mother. No human or animal deserves the life they have there.

bluesky - this is a group for ladies who are living with Stage IV cancer, not a political forum. Perhaps you didn't read the header that this forum is for Stage IV members only. The BCO custom is to respect that these ladies are dealing with issues that we are not, so we don't post here if we are not diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer.
I know I'm not Stage IV, but like lots of other long time BCO members, I often read your forums and am so admiring of the strength you all show. And Ebru - you look spectacular.
