Biopsy last Friday, its Thursday now no result 😮

Hello all, I'm a newbie. Trying to fish information about breast cancer. On my routing mammogram last December they saw calcification. I did follow up mammogram 3 weeks ago on my right breast and was told it's indeterminate. BIRAD 4, Suspicious. Biopsy was recommended. There's no lump, pain or nipple discharge. But mammogram showed calcification on my right breast, right upper posterior quadrant (near axilla). I did stereotactic biopsy 8am Friday morning. The waiting time Ian killing me. Every time my phone ring, I panic. It's 4PM now East Coast time, Thursday and in still didn't get a call. I am contemplating of calling them. My anxiety level is up.Friday, if the year don't call me I will call them tomorrow.

How long did you guys received the biopsy result?

    Marizylle, so sorry you're here with breast health concerns. Pathology departments vary in how long it takes them to process their samples. I've had everything from a couple of days to over a week. I do hope that your (B9) results come back soon. I wouldn't hesitate to call them. You just want your results, they will understand.     Yes I would definitely call your doc tomorrow. The radiology dept may or may not have passed along the info, but that's where I'd start. Hope you get some news before the holiday.

    Is there a phone number on your biopsy aftercare paperwork for contacting the imaging department? My biopsy was last Monday and radiologist told me it could very well take until Friday, but she did call very late yesterday. I know how awful the waiting is! Hope you get an answer soon.

    I just would like everybody to know that my biopsy is benign. Thanks God! I got the call yesterday around 4PM while at work. Yes, I am a Nurse, specializing in Cardiology. I was already tempted to open and see my own lab results but I can't, we're not allowed to look for our own medical file using my access as an RN. I was just hoping that if it's a bad news I've probably get a call 48 hours after the biopsy.

    Thanks Sharon, got a call yesterday from my Oncology Breast Surgeon. Yes, my primary provider get me onboard with a Breast Surgeon, of which I saw prior to biopsy. My primary MD is a male doctor, and I also work with in the hospital. So I don't think I will be comfortable with him palpating my breast. He probably feel the same way, so I was referred to a female Oncology Doctor.
