No, MOTC, my tiny spots were black.  I think I first noticed it when I was on the puter.  I don't notice it right now, but you're most likely correct...that I'm just not hypersensitive to it right now.  I really do need to make an appointment with the ophthalmologist too.  I just hate appointments.  I'd rather just walk in when I felt like it.

The first time I realized I had "floaters" was when I was at the beach....looking at a blank canvas you can notice them.  Anyway, I had NO clue what they were initially.  I thought they were birds in the distant sky then I moved my eyes and thought, " Oh more birds over there too...this continued for a great deal...my mother laughed hysterically at me (so much for sparing my feelings LOL) and told me about these floaters.  Apparently, the optometrist said there is nothing that they can do.  She said, that laser can help but they tend to return.

    So much for the 'birds'...LOL

yes. Developed one black dot I keep thinking is a big gnat. I've never had eye problems before although I had cataract surgery about two yrs ago. That was age related (66) . It disappeared for a day and came back this morning.
