Bony Lump where sternum meets clavicle- sterno clavical joint
Had DCIS about 10 years ago. Hope I am all done, but anything that feels funny your mind goes to where you do not want it to go.
I often put my hand on my throat area when reading or relaxing. About three weeks ago I noticed that one side of my breastbone, sternum, had a larger bony lump where it meets the clavicle than the other side. It is not extremely noticeable in a mirror, but when I place my palm near my throat, I can notice it immediately. Should it be symmetric or is there variability in such things?

I have three of these on my chest. None hurt and the doctors aren't concerned in the least. I have similar growths elsewhere in my body. All but one is associated with joints in some way. Can't remember what they are called.

It's worth a trip to the doc. Likely it's nothing, but my lump was a recurrence to a lymph node by my collar bone.

If it is concerning, definitely get it checked. Hopefully you will get the big all clear
