I haven't heard from my dr yet. But, I picked up the pathology report from the hospital. Diagnosis is PASH. Happy it's B9 and very happy that waiting part is over. Now, I'm just curious to see what dr wants to do next.

    your right, Rufhewn,

The communication is atrocious! Here I'm worried sick and the clinic doesn't seem to know what they are doing. Got 2 calls from them today regarding my appointment change, I can't possibly be in office and then into the city at the hospital in a 1 hour time Frame! Finally I got a girl who understood me. I've opted to change doctors as the one I originally saw I've never been comfortable with. Besides I only ever went in for small stuff , bad colds, sprained ankles etc. Booked with the resident nurse practioner who works with 2 doctors on staff. My God, I hope I'm doing the Right thing! My husband is coming with to get the results Friday, I can't see them making all this fuss for nothing, however I hope for the best.

Nnasmom, glad you will get results very soon. I have a great MO but found the nurse practitioners to be very knowledgeable and compassionate. They always are able to take more time to explain things. Sending you a hug and hoping to hear all is fine or if the news isn't what you hope for, it will be easily treatable. One day at a time. ❤ Pam

Hi there. My results were a benign intraductal papilloma. Very pleased that common things turned out to be common.

I received the report this past Monday on the 4th biopsy I had last week. I have breast cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma.

I have an appointment with the surgeon and radiation person next Thursday, the 22nd.

No recommendations are being made until I see the surgeon. I am doing ok.

I am wondering about this -- I developed a hematoma after the last biopsy (stereotactic), and that's been painful. I am also having times of brief pain underneath my arm, and I'm wondering if could be a sign that there is involvement in the lymph nodes. The NP I've been seeing has reassured me that she doesn't feel any enlargement there.

suzieQ, I am so sorry you find yourself a member of our club! Some women do experience a bit of discomfort after biopsies, so I would try not to read too much into it. I am glad that you have an appointment with a BS and MO next week to start talking about your treatment options. It might be helpful to read through some forums so that you can come up with a set of questions for which you'd like answers. (the surgery, before during and after forum; the idc forum and the radiation, before during and after forum)

Also, either taking someone who can take notes for you or getting approval to record the discussion can let you review it later when you're not so overwhelmed. It is really difficult to hear and remember everything that will be discussed. Try to pamper yourself right now, as this time (when you have your diagnosis but don't really have your team or plan in place) is really difficult. Once you can start making decisions and get your treatment started, you will begin to feel more empowered. There is a wealth of information, experience and support on these boards, so please don't hesitate to ask! ((hugs))

So sorry you've joined our club Sharrose! You should request a copy of your pathology report for more details. That will let you formulate your list of questions prior to your BS appointment. ((hugs))

Had my biopsy a week ago. Was told that my doctor would have results in 2-3 business days. My doctor's office called yesterday (after I called them) to say they haven't received the pathology reports yet and were trying to track them down. Was really hoping I'd get a call before the weekend but that looks like it isn't happening.

Had my original call back mammo/US on April 24th. Birads 4 biopsy on may 18. Diff DX was Carcinoma or radial scar. That was supposed to take place May 11th, but something came up with Radiologist, so it was moved to the 18th. I just had a wire guided lumpectomy on June 14 to rule out anything worse than LCIS/Radial Scar. Results should be in early next week. I have fairly expensive insurance, but still I wait. And wait. I feel blessed that it's nothing worse thus far, but I am so emotionally beat up. My tough side is wavering. Sending hugs & prayer to all of you waiting for results or dealing with results! XO!

I have 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinomas, Triple Negative Cancer. Grade 3.

The Surgeon is requesting 2 more biopsies on 2 other places of concern. It looks like I will be doing chemo for 6 months before surgery.but I still have to see the oncologist and they want to see if I can get a genetic testing. Lots of fact gethering on this first few weeks of this journey.

((hugs)) Sharrose, I am so sorry! Neo-adjuvant chemo is pretty standard in TNBC these days. That way they can really see how well your cells respond prior to surgical removal. There is a forum for TN, where you may be able to get some good info on current treatment options.

haven, why don't you post on the 'just diagnosed with a recurrence' forum to get better feedback. I'm not sure you're going to get much on this thread.

I just got an MRI done with diffusion yesterday and the results will be in next week. It will show changes after a month and a week, if any, so I'm a bit anxious to know what it does show. Also, it was done during the second week of my menstrual cycle, whereas the first MRI wasn't (and was deemed to have perhaps masked some potential results), so it will be interesting in that respect, too.

The first MRI results were definitely harder to wait for, I notice that I'm calmer this time. I still feel a bit impatient, though...especially since my ADH *only* showed up on an MRI with contrast, nothing was visible on the mammogram or ultrasound visuals.
