Soft bulge under my arm pit. What could it be?

Options

Hi everyone! My anxious little self is back. Two days ago I discovered a couple of small bulges in the center of my arm pit. They are pea sized. They are soft and when pressed on go away. I really can't feel a lump or bump at all. But when I lift my arm the one is noticeable. The other one appears when I stretch the skin. What are these? Are they lymph nodes? I have no idea what a lymph node feels like or looks like They are on the same side as my bc. That is why I'm concerned. I do have lymphadema and have recently lost weight. As a result I feel some of the fluid in my arm and under it has disappeared and I'm wondering if this is what I'm noticing. Anyone else have something similar to this? Any thoughts as to what these little bulges are? I'm really worried!

Do you have an LE/PT? That's where I'd start. If not, call your GYN or your MO. Good luck

Minus Two I don't have an LE/PT. I wish I had a nursing background and knew what a normal lymph node looked and felt like. I absolutely don't feel anything firm or hard under my arm at all. Just see this little bulge that looks like it may be a little smaller this morning. It feels rubbery maybe? But when I press on it there is nothing underneath it- no lump or bump. Am I describing a lymph node or if it were a node would I feel something when I pressed on it? If anyone out there has an answer please feel free to jump on here. Thanks

kdholt - sorry, we're not medical professionals. I would call & make a doc appointment since you're worried. Like I said above, I would start with my GYN or MO. I can't tell from your profile, but if you have had breast surgery - BMX or LX - ask for a referral to a lymphadema therapist.

Hi. I have slight truncal lymphedema and my armpit is puffy. It has pretty much been that way ever since finishing treatment. My LE therapist said it may just stay puffy. Truncal LE seems to be a bit harder to get the puffiness to go down, according to her. With all that said, I would see a LE therapist to see if this is what you're dealing with. Keep us posted!

Always worth getting lumps checked. Soft is usually good, but let MO make that call
