Anyone else expecting results next week?
Hi all. Just looking for some company and moral support while waiting for my next set of test results. I had an MRI tonight and the results should be sent to my BS next Wed, the 14th. So far I've had mammo and US which showed nothing, but etiology of the discharge that started it all shows "blood and cellular degeneration, with foam cells and epithelial cells suggestive of papilloma". I'm really hoping the MRI identifies the source.
Anyone else expecting any results back next week?

Mins I'm with you, waiting on ultrasound results. The waiting is terrible, but you are I'm good company on this site. I wish you much luck!
-
Yup... waiting for the pathology from my bilateral mastectomy on tuesday. Worried as heck, knowing they took all the lymphnodes on the left side. Should find out on Thursday.
-
MeToo and runningmama, I'm sorry you're also both spending the weekend wondering and worrying. I hope you both get good news next week. Any plans to distract yourselves over the weekend
And runningmama, I hope you are doing ok as you recover from your mastectomy. I am amazed at all of the courage of the women on this site and am so thankful to have found all of you.

Waiting for biopsy results, Mon or Tues!
-
Had core biopsy on Friday. Expecting results by Wednesday. Trying to stay busy and keep myself distracted.
-
I'm also waiting. Thursday I had an unsuccessful aspiration followed by a core biopsy. Bi-rads 4. Hope to have results by Wednesday.
-
Rad breast had a small opening happen and it was leaking. 6 weeks ordeal with the final result tbd on Wed when the stitches that have been in for 3 wks are removed to see if it's healed now. If not then implant comes out for min 6 mo.
-
Canela, looks like you're first up for results this week. Wishing you a benign report on your biopsy.
Thinking about you all as we head into the week. This waiting is not easy.
-
Sending all of you positive thoughts for B9 results this week! Waiting is soooo hard! It's very nerve wracking to put our lives and future on hold while we uncover what's going on. I was didiagnosed with LCIS 2 weeks ago & undergoing lumpectomy on Weds to be sure of no upgrade. So it's been 2 long months waiting for results. Hopefully by Friday I'll have answers. Love to you all! 💓

I'm waiting for the results of my 4th biopsy. I believe I will hear tomorrow.
I had a regular screening mammo May 10th and have been on quite the journey for this past month. I've had diagnostic mammos, several USs, 3D mammo. Then 3 biopsies, core needle, US guided. At the end of that, they did another mammo to make sure it and the USs images agreed. They didn't. There was a 4th place, still in the same breast. Had a stereotactic biopsy last Wednesday.
Seems like I just kind of go from one procedure, wait, then on to another procedure, wait. But, that's just the way of things. -
The waiting is terrible no matter how zen I try to be about it. Last week I had a vacuum-assisted, MRI-guided biopsy and am expecting results TODAY! I have a near migraine pushing behind my right eye from the tension, no doubt, but I'm at work until my appointment with the doctor later this afternoon. Best to distract myself as much as possible.
Canela, I hope your results come back today rather than tomorrow. Even if it's bad news, then we know, we can make a plan, and move AHEAD! The waiting game is the pits. That said, I hope all of your results come back begnign, and I'll be thinking of you.

Me. I had a duct removed yesterday due to clear discharge that had some blood in it. A clear us, mammogram, cytology. Surgeon said odds overwhelmingly good before operation and seemed even more upbeat after surgery so fingers crossed. Said he saw nothing "sinister" and even if that is irrelevant it make sure me feel calmer
-
Also waiting on results. Had a ultrasound guided needle biopsy last week. They said results would take 10 days. The radiologist who read original mammo and ultrasound were not positive at all. Still trying to wrap my head around all this without falling apart. The waiting is giving me panic attack
-
Heather, hopefully you'll get good news this week! I am relieved at your surgeon's feedback.
Let me know when you hear
-
Bd, I agree. The waiting is really hard. I feel like I move from test, to waiting, to another test, to more waiting, ... I will be wishing you good news this week. ((hugs)
-
Sweet Pea, I hope you got good news today.

RESULTS IN: no malignancy in samples taken, but they don't like the looks of what they found, so recommending surgery to take the entire questionable área out (about 6cm) and clean up the sides a bit. That way they can make sure none of the rest of it is malignant and also prevent these questionable-looking cells from turning into cancer not to far into the future, especially given it's rapid change from last year to this year.
So it's very good news, indeed. I'll need to visit a couple of surgeons, I dare say, to see who I feel comfortable with. It's quite a chunk to be taken out...has anyone had experience with having to have a chunk that big taken out and did you consider a prothesis to even things out? I'm lucky because the scar won't be near my nipple, but I don't scar particularly well,
Any tips, questions for the surgeon, etc. would be welcome.
Hoping for similarly good news or BETTER for everyone else!
-
Sweet Pea,
if you have smaller breasts, and the 'chunk' they have to remove seems a bit large, you should speak to a plastic surgeon. They are much more likely to get a good cosmetic result than a general surgeon. Also, to answer your question about scars, talk to the plastic surgeon about silicon sheeting. I threw keloid scars and mine recommended it to me to knock them down, which it did. It also lightens dark scars, so mine are tremendously improved. Good luck!

went for my two year ck up (triple negative stage3) excited because this visit should have pushed me to annual ck ups.
Instead it pushed me to a surgical biopsy for a knot found on the border of my removed breast. Feeling a little gut punched. So long werk waiting and then waiting again for results..
-
please talk to your doctor there is medication to help my oncologists says she wants her patients not stressing. Im with you
good luck

Talked to my Doctor today and not the results I was praying for. I'm actually relieved that the waiting is over. Next up looks like appointment with breast surgeon. Fox Chase Cancer Center is not too far from my home so leaning towards going there. Hoping and praying everyone else gets positive news
-
I'm also waiting on ultrasound results. Radiologist was sending them asap (yesterday), should have results from my family dr tomorrow 🤞
-
Bd, sorry to hear your news was not good. We must be near each other because I'm not too far from FCCC. I will be thinking about you and hope you get a treatment plan quickly.
-
HI, I had a routine mammogram may 26, they scheduled on immediate biopsy june 6 from the imaging office. That obviously was bad news, Now I've an appointment for diagnosis Friday June 16 and an just tonight the hospital informed me that i have an MRI the same day. I'm really worried as I had no idea there was any problem.
-
Just had a biposy today. Had cancer 10 years age and had lumpectomy and radiation then. Thinking a mastectomy may be in the works for me next. Two weeks till I hear from someone they said..
-
Ninasmom, sorry the communication from your medical team isn't clearer. The anxiety is tough enough but having to guess at what is going on is justplain not fair. One day at a time which is easier said than done.
-
Last Tuesday I had an abdominal ultrasound and thought the results would have been back by now. I just called my MO office and found out they haven't received them yet. They said they would get back to me with the results in 48 hours. Arg! Waiting is the worst.
-
In the same boat. Just diagnosed last week, lumpectomy tomorrow. Waiting for the pathology to determine course of treatment... so worried about pain and the unknown.... best of luck to all of you
-
I just got the call, my ultrasound was clear. I still don't know why I'm having shortness of breath but it's great results. I was so relieved cried, which is something I don't do.
