I have no experience with this but stopped in to send my support. I know someone will be along soon who can share their input and guidance. Good luck, I hope all turns out well.

Did you have your appointment yesterday? What did the doc say?

Yes I did. He said everything is fine. Maybe a fat pocket. He did run bloodwork since I was there and today I saw my results. When I was initially diagnosed, my CA 27-29 was 41. Today the result came back at 40. I usually run between 28 - 33. I messaged him, but have not heard back.

Seems to me that some imaging may be better able to differentiate between fat and a swollen lymph node. Can they run ultrasound on it?

Well interesting update. I got my blood work back today and my CA 27-29 was up to 40. I know that is on the very low end of high, but when I was originally diagnosed before any treatment it was 41. So it is one point shy of that. It has been trending up over the last year. So I called him back today and we are going to do a PET/CT. I have NEVER had a pet scan before. But he feels that it is better to check to ease both our minds. My liver enzymes have always run high so he figures it is a good time to check on that at well.

I'm glad you're having some imaging done. Just being told that a palpable swelling in my neck is a "fat pocket" wouldn't make me feel any better because palpating a swollen area by hand isn't going to tell you much definitively.

That combined with the blood work is enough to investigate a little bit more. Let us know what your results are. Here's hoping it's boringly benign!
