INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Yes, the tenor of my discourse has changed. IS that allowed by the parameters of the thread. Yes. " Discussion will flow where it will as all threads do". I have acquiesced to the group in previous times. Then the group changed. Recently, a member was attempted to be silenced by one word. I chewed on that one word for quite some time. Then I thought, how my speech had been limited because someone coming here wanted to change it.
I have decided that others coming here trying to define the space, have not done well. We were reduced to being a weather report. So, post with all that you want to talk about, abbreviated explectives are okay, no denigration of any, and we will get along. Not happy with that? Pass on by..................

I agree. I don't think Regan knew about the New World Order. And another thing that I was discussing with other people I know is that if JFK were alive today, he probably would have been thought of as not a Democrat. So glad that the status quo has been shaken up. I do believe that those in business who have gone broke or nearly broke learn from it.
-
Hellooooooo.. MammaRay, Oh bless you. We often think of you. The brain thingy, sucks...damnable.............You have our prayers
-
Mommy, JFK.................

MammaRay, what a pleasant surprise to see your pos
-
MammaRay ! 😃 💜
-
Nice to see you MammaRay.
Sas, even though I was not alive when JFK was president, I admire JFK for the stance he took concerning our country. I also admire FDR for his time as president and the challenges he had both with his own health and dealing with our country fighting a war on two fronts.
-
Wren, I agree with you 110%!
Let me start by saying I'm an Independent. I refuse to let any "group" tell me what to think, believe in and especially what to do. Period.
Nostardamus predicted Hitler and WWII and he also predicted the "man with a Trumpet" including the failure of Trumpet's presidency and WWIII. Every time I think of Trumpet I think of Nixion. I'm PRAYING I'm WRONG!
I know, Nostradamus had predictions that didn't happen. I'm PRAYING this is one of them and Trumpet knows what he's doing, Trumpet may only have a third grade vocabulary and I'm wishing that was the only fault he has but he has no morals and that's a biggie. I'm a wait and see kinda gal myself. Typed with a <WEG> aka <Wicked Evil Grin>
I love everyone here and we all have a right to believe what we chose to believe 😍🤗
Sincerely,
First Lady Lori of thePirate Nation LOL

I was in a hurry this morning and only noticed the Mama raccoon pic.

Lover, I can't find the emoji either! They must create one ASAP!
MammaRay, it's great to see you here! Praying for nothing but the best for you always!
Teka, mama likes to hold my hand with her paws as she takes her time eating her marshmallows. I think she'd come in the house if I let her but she's still a wild animal, friendly but still wild.

Mommy, I'm not surprised that we are out either. But the final call on it had to be formally announced. The sky will not fall per some. It was the typical money grab from the US. The US will not abandon the environment.
Your quote " I do believe that those in business who have gone broke or nearly broke learn from it." I believe that too, if they are paying attention to not repeating the same mistakes.
Loved listening to Wilbur Ross, Secretary of Commerce. post withdrawal about Elon Musk quitting the Economic Council if DJT withdrew. When he was asked how much concern he had if he pulled out? "None, there are many that would be happy to serve" Hahaha
Your class last year, did you study about the intended breakup of the world into the "Unions"?
Wenchie, Hahahaha tell me what you really think of DJT? Kidding you said it loud and clear. Generally, I have been registered as an Independent. As a young one, I voted primarily Democrat. But the older I get, I'm firmly aligned with conservative principles. I am also a nationalist versus a globalist. I was disappointed the Geert of Denmark and LePen of France lost there elections. Very proud of the V4--Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. Their leadership is inspiring.
I have grave concern that when things continue to deteriorate in the EU that we will be dragged into conflict b/c of our NATO alliance, when that conflict is self inflicted. Then add to that the countries screaming the hardest against DJT and the USA are the worst offenders for paying their fair share
This link is good regarding who's paying what for NATO.

Love the Mama raccoon. What do you feed them? Marshmallows? How did you figure out they like Marshmallows? Mamma raccoon prefers you to dear hubby?
"First Lady Lori of thePirate Nation LOL". Hahahaha
Shep, the video link wouldn't load?

Lori, it was Feline who made the comment about the emoji. I know she is lovely as me and it's easy to mistaken us....should I stop now before my head gets bigger?
I think I found the WEG emoji for you gals:
I love it when we can respectfully agree to disagree. It brings joy to my heart when I see my friends don't take disagreements personally. Politics and religion can divide and destroy friendships. I had seen it here and it saddens me. Honestly, I was nervous and uneasy the last two days. Was wondering why stomach was not behaving. Anyway, I love the quote Ms. Wren shared. So true. Money is nothing if there are no resources to keep us alive. It would be foolish of our leaders if they don't care about our environment.
Shepk, I heard about the Racoon coffee shop yesterday in the news and thought I should look for the video and post it here after I saw Lori's post. You beat me to it. Hah!
Mommy, wishing you many more years with DH. May you grow old together.
-
Feline, I apologize for mixing you and Lover up. As Lover said, you are both very lovely!
Lover, thank you for finding our emoji! I'll have to start using it ASAP

Sas, last year I was doing a class in Public Speaking. Of course during that course pretty much every subject that we had to speak or write a paper on had to fit into the agenda of having a positive spin on it, including hot button political topics such as Obamacare. What good is having a different opinion or being able to speak your side if the focus has to fit into a narrow spectrum of thinking?

Two more terrorist attacks near London Bridge. What next? Praying for everyone over there. 🙏💜
-
Watching it................awful. Not sure why how this will sound, but not sure why England is getting hit so much? Or seems more than the other European countries. But France has been under martial law since the attack in late 2015. It was due to be released the week the Nice attack occurred. Martial law was then extended. Maybe since England has not declared a state of emergency Jihadists have seen it as an open site.
Perhaps we all should start reading the jihadist newspaper. This approach has been encouraged for jihadist to use as an attack in the Jihadist newspaper. Killing folks by running over pedestrians and stabbings. Because it's low technology and easy to do. Can be done at any time any where. It has high terror impact b/c it causes great fear in the high density or high profile areas that are targeted.
Not sure when Britain will awake. They have been into appeasement as Chamberlain was with Germany pre WW2. They need a Churchill. Prime Minister May isn't a Churchill. Neither is Parliament doing anything that can be detected. The Muslim mayor of London says that Jihadists attacks are a part of life and that we must get used to them. Hmmm must get used to random killings. i.e. acceptance. Hmmm I don't need to chew on that one. No

Wonder what the Queen thinks? Wonder if she's doing anything behind the scenes? She may only be a titular head, but this isn't working in the country.. Manchester? Two very famous bridges, well travelled by tourists?
-
Sassy, I agree. Someone over there needs to wake up and wake up fast. Getting used to being mowed down while walking across a bridge or being stabbed? Heck no!
-
Hi Wenchie, Finally remembered the first bridge name Westminster and the second is London bridge to high profile bridges. The attacks were the same. But we have had attacks in the US the same. Columbus, Ohio State. the casualties were minimum b/c there was an off duty cop. But with each of these attacks, they get more emboldened. Let us pray, we can at least do that. Be watchful.

Too much sadness in the world.
Here's something cheery before bedtime....
Raccoon & Dog Cafe!
-
Popping in to wave hello. Thanks for the cute video Shep!
Hope everyone is well
-
Another cute picture of my silly raccoons. I'm not sure what his deal was but he sat in my empty planter box for about 2 hours. Just sitting and peaking over the top! A new den maybe? 😜
