Dreading the holiday weekend....
I noticed a dimpling in my breast a few weeks ago and then I noticed my nipple inverting. Called my gyno and she ordered a diagnostic mammogram. Had that and an ultrasound. They found three lumps. Went back a week later (this past Thursday) for a biopsy. Now just waiting for the results. With it being Memorial Day weekend the results r going to take even longer. Was doing really good until tonight. Now just want it to be Wednesday so I can get my results!! My sister died in January after an almost 5 yr battle with a rare, aggressive breast cancer. Ugh!!!!

Praying for benign results. What type of breast cancer did your sister have? There are great women and men in this group that have been where you are. Please keep us posted.

I believe it was called metaplastic breast cancer. It came back twice. The first time in just her lung. The second time in her breast, lungs and brain. She was an amazing fighter.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as waiting for results are the worst. Hang in there!

I'm sorry for your loss. That is very recent and must make this scarier. I hope you can find some distractions the next few days. Hoping for benign results too. Hang in there

- ladinred26,
Sending you much love & positive thoughts while you wait for results! It's really tough waiting it out and at this point, don't feel bad about losing out on sunny weather and fun. This waiting experience is not fun & will shake the shoes off of even the most level gal. It took the full 5 days for my results. The really great thing is that everyone here has been through the waiting game & can offer you so much support! You are not alone! I am so very sorry about your sister. I, too, have had 4 people near and dear to me either go through recurrence, mastectomy, or passing over within the last year. It makes it so much more scary. But there are a lot of not scary breast things that happen that get you to the point of biopsy. Most of it being benign. Thank God mammos have come this far because they can catch most everything very early! I was diagnosed with a radial scar that contains LCIS. Have to have lumpectomy to rule out anything else (25% rate of upgrad.) Not the best case scenario, but benign @ this point & I feel very blessed! Stay strong girl! Keep us posted. You can pm me anytime if you're really having a hard time, as I was very recently in your shoes.

thx. I hardly slept a wink last night. Finally gave up, took a shower and came into the office. I've actually been a bit productive this morning. Keeping busy helps.
