anyone experience swarm armpit sensation or tingly fingers!
So I was recently diagnosed with LCIS/Radial scar. I feel so blessed that it was nothing more on core needle biopsy. I am scheduled to have a lumpectomy June 14. My breast surgeoon is awesome. He took really great care of my Mother in law last July (mastectomy.) But I feel I should hang out in this forum for awhile, as I understand there is always a chance of upgrade into bc (25%.) and I wouldn't hang out here, but I have a few strange symptoms that maybe someone could relate to? I have this very strange warm feeling in my armpit that feels like it needs to sweat out but doesn't. Also tingling In my thumb, index & middle fingers. Before core needle biopsy, but only after mammo/US. But I've never had my breast assaulted byso many people in a short amount of time, so maybe just that? Lol! 😂 Any input would be appreciated!

That tingling sounds spinal, cervical radiculopathy—the radial nerve in the spine goes down your shoulder, arm and the thumb and first two fingers (the ulnar nerve passes the elbow and ends in your pinkie and ring finger). When a bulging disc, bone spur or arthritic vertebra compresses it, tingling, numbness and pain can ensue. Sounds like a coincidence that appeared about the same time as your LCIS was discovered. Not sure about your armpit.

Thank you. That totally makes sense, as I had a really bad case of tennis elbow last year. I guess it just worries me a bit because I just very recently got the tingly fingers. And the strange armpit sensation. I feel like now that I've gotten more in tune with my body again (I used to listen to myself a lot but life has been a wringer last 18 mos.,)everything on my right side is totally out of whack!

You might also have strained a muscle or ligament in your armpit (probably during a serve), and a nerve healed incompletely.

Sounds about right. Although I've never really played tennis. But I've been a bartender/server for years. So overuse problems are going to show up at some point. Just thought it was strange that they coincided with my DX. But I do do yoga & barre regularly. My main concern is really that armpit sensation. But they did do a thorough exam & he mentioned a bit of thickening but not concerning. I will amp up my upper back yoga to prepare for that little lumpectomy.

I also had a radial scar / complex scleorsing lesion.
I agree that the arm / hand tingles sound like nerve issues. I found that when I had the diagnostic mammograms I had to tip my head this way and that, to get it out of the way. I wonder if you did the same and maybe wrenched your neck in an odd way during the 'hold your breath, don't move' part?
Some of us are still holding our breath months later!
Hope all goes well.
