-
Hi ducky. Nice to see you again. Good looking picture.
FK - have you ever known me to miss a broom trip? Of course not. I'm waiting for you to pick me up.
-
what's a broom trip?? I have to say I love reading your posts. It just shows me what a special bond everyone has. It's a horrible disease but can sure bring some special relationships into our lives huh??
-
Twirp......we do have a special bond....some longer then others..some we only know by conversation, and some we know by a picture, and then some are fortunate enough to get to travel to meet each other.....either way........when all the relatives, friends, etc hve faded out of the picture....not because they don't care...but because they think for us if we look better ...we are better. ..are are expected to move on with our lives and put cancer aside........but sometimes...old memories come back...worries whether "is it gone"..."what is that new pain"..."why am I not feeling so good today" etc........and we don't want to bring it up because "everyone thinks we are fine, so lets not talk about "cancer" anymore"............
But who knows why we worry, why we are scared about that new ache, pain, a lump we didn't have before.............who knows the SE's of the treatment we get,.......THE LADIES......these wonderful women right here who have been by our side since the beginning.....yes family loves you , yes the helped you through it all......but only someone who has walked the walk with us knows how we feel.....
Here you might laught one day, vent anohter, ask a question another, cry another and suffer a loss of one of our ladies ....but we do it together, always hoping and praying together.........we are family........
Always will be.......Hugs from "one of the ladies".
Firekracker will explain the Broom Trip.......LOL
-
Ducky .. beautifuly said.
Jo ..Welcome home !
-
It came from my heart Lucy........6 years of friendships I will never forget.....I'm not spring chicken as you all know.....but this entire BCO website has gotten me this far, and keeps me going......knowing "your not alone" when your world starts to get a little dark.....and having friends here who say to you..."no we are not going to allow you to stay in the basement".........they bring you back, and put a lock on the basement door, and tell you they have your back, and its gonna be ok........
Remember....I am old enough to be "Mom" to some of you,and possibly a Grandmom to some......LOL......yes this lady is old.......love you all.....
-
Ducky, I am adopting you. You can be my adopted Grandma.
-
ducky...u put everything in perspective...
Remembering the good times we has in the past
Let's hope we can bring it all back....

Here, just got back from the Derm, and BJ's.....asked the Derm how I can make myself less scary in the morning, and she told me "get a face transplant"......great idea, so I decided on Cindy Crawford's face, getting the surgery in 2 weeks"............actually she told me "laser or a peel"........with my luck I'll do it and drop dead next week,.........but damn I might look great in the box.............hahahaha
-
-

Too funny ducky. Go for it girl. Life is too short not to. Post before and after pictures.
Hubby and I along with another couple spent the past two days at South Padre Island in RVs. We had such an awesome time. The weather was perfect. Cathy and I walked along the beach. There was a riptide warning out so we only went in the water ankle deep. The guys stayed at one of the local bars and entertained themselves. There are some pictures on my facebook page if anyone wants to check them out.
Where is everyone? Are there only 2 or 3 sistas on this thread????
-
Just popping in. Am a relative newbie sista. Enjoying everyone's posts, wish work/life not so hectic & could post more. Ducky, your humor is a wonderful gift! M0mmy - Where are you in CT? I will be in the Greenwich/Stamford area on June 23rd for about a week (however, flying in on an airplane rather than my broom).
