    LOL Trill, I just KNEW Pantaloon is a cat. VERY pretty! Persian? Or Himalayan? That's the extent of my knowledge of (and I'll use the technical term "flat-faced" because I can't rememberl the Brachy...word) breeds of cats.

    Chemo went better than I expected Monday. Took a full 8 hours at the clinic--ugh--but that included a blood draw and appt with the MO and installation of the Neulasta cartridge. Two of the meds (herceptin and iron infusion) made me hot and gave me a headache. No significant SEs Monday. Today I woke with a sore throat and a sandy-feeling tongue. Kinda weak, and mild headache all day. Some nausea but not bad. I smell a bit weird, and my pee definitely has an oddly metallic smell. The Neulasta is due to go in around 7pm tonight.

    I'm no wealth of energy today, but it's not as bad as I anticipated. The obnoxious port worked just fine, but ached and stung thru the whole treatment. I still hate it, lol.

    Sooo, on it goes. Playing it by ear. Won't know what my body will do till it does it.

    And might I add, for all of us going thru these long chemo sessions: Thank heavens for free wifi!!!!

    Hi BeachGirl-- So glad you got through Monday OK...or at least it sounds as if you did ...I hope things continue fairly uneventful. Sorry your whole day was taken up with that but maybe future visits will take far less time. Here's hoping. You sound sprightly and that's a good sign!

    Pantaloon IS a Himalayan...turns 6 end of June...she's really a doll-baby....

    Speaking of which she's just jumped on the bed to tell me her bowl is not full of fresh dry food as she likes...so off to do the queen's bidding...
