Your doc thought it was a UTI but you stopped treating it? Maybe it is just a simple UTI and you need the full course of antibiotics. If CIPRO doesn't agree with you, there are other drugs. Also, try D-Mannose---it will help "unstick" bacteria attached to the bladder wall.

Fevers typically indicate infection. I would assume that before cancer, especially without your uterus as they probably took the tubes, which they now believe is where ovarian cancer starts.

It could also be diverticulities....small pouches/pockets in the intestines.

It sounds like an untreated UTI that has spread to the kidneys. Symptoms of a kidney infection include:

• pain in the lower back, groin, side, or lower abdomen
• nausea and/or vomiting
• fever and/or chills
• fatigue
• blood and/or pus in the urine or urine may be cloudy
• frequent urination or a sudden need to urinate

Here's the thing, kidney infections can be very dangerous. They can lead to permanent damage to the kidneys or to a life threatening infection called sepsis. At age 27, I had a kidney stone which blocked my kidney, and in the course of about 7 hours, I went from completely fine and unaware I had a stone to doubled over in pain in the Emergency Room. I was admitted to the hospital right on the verge of developing sepsis. I spent a total of 7 days in the hospital and had to have very powerful IV antibiotics.

This needs to be treated now. Kidney infections are almost always considered urgent. Your symptoms match perfectly. I'm not trying to scare you, but rather to make you aware that this has the potential to be very serious.
