Hello everyone!

I'm driving myself NUTS looking for what foods I should and shouldn't eat. I know a low fat diet is the best for us TNBCers, but I have more questions. Do you eat meat? Are you almost 100% vegetarian? Organic everything? Do u stay away from artificial everytjing? I've really been watching what I eat for the past several months since my chemo ended and I exercise 5 days a week, which has led to 30 lb weight loss (still have a ways to go), but as my 1 yr 'cancerversary' approaches i find my anxiety level is through the roof. I try to keep a positive outlook and leave this in God's hands, but it gets harder and harder. My mind races...maybe I should do yoga, meditation, see a counselor, anxiety meds....its exhausting. Anyone have any suggestions or want to share their diet..?

yodez75 - I must admit, that I'm just trying to follow more an the 80/20 rule rather than a specific diet. I try very hard to eat fresh and clean foods 80% of the time. I've also read that eliminating alcohol is a good idea. Again, I'm not about to not drink a glass of wine (or two!) or a cold beer here or there, or a bloody mary when at brunch, etc. But I was never much of a drinker before either. I'm just trying to use moderation in diet decisions. I have stepped up my exercise in the last few years. My husband and I work out with a trainer twice a week and go to the gym together 2-3 additional nights per week as well. I have seen real results in my blood work at the my annual physicals with my primary care doctor as well as a reduction in my weight. I could still stand to lose about 20 more pounds, but I'm not in a race to do it. I can honestly say that I am living and loving life. I think the further out I get from my diagnosis (approaching 7 years ago, wow!), the easier it is to just enjoy life. I figure that these decisions have a positive impact on my life whether I'm a breast cancer survivor or not. Overall, just better for me. I think you will relax a little more about it as time goes on. It's a natural reaction to think about all of this, especially as you approach your cancerversary. Congratulations on this milestone!

    Hugs,

    Kathy
