ganglion cyst in rb core biopsy next week

It seems I have a ganglion cyst in the right breast/chest wall. The breast cancer surgeon felt it was not cancerous but rather a significant hematoma. There do not appear to be any other symptoms of cancer. Following mammogram and ultrasound the radiologist is recommending a breast core biopsy to rule out any possibility of breast cancer. Any like experiences or other thoughts/advice would be very welcome.

Welcome, William2017. So sorry you are having these concerns. The waiting times for any procedures and test results will feel like very long times. If the waiting times seem to be dragging, they are best passed doing the things one really likes or loves to do -- those things that tend to hold one's focus and make time seem to pass much more quickly.

You are not alone in your experience and concerns. We are all Brothers and Sisters here who understand and care. The posting activity/traffic here at BCO is generally slower during the Western Hemisphere's nighttimes and weekends. More members will be on to participate tomorrow.

Remember and remind yourself -- as often as you need to, whenever your mind turns to worry or fear -- that you are already doing everything you can (practicably) do to have your condition properly checked out. It sounds like your Health Care Providers are watching out for you. We hope the area of concern will turn out to be nothing serious.

Has your biopsy procedure been scheduled? Do you have a close Other to accompany you for that?

It's great that you've posted your question here William, since you get to draw on the wealth of information that members here have. While I haven't had the ganglions you refer to, I am a guy with breast cancer and will be here in the unlikely event that you get this disease. Keep us posted on your biopsy results.

Thank you, Icietla for responding to my post. Your response was most generous. I am scheduled for the biopsy next Tuesday, 16 May and should have the results by Thursday, 18 May. I am married to a very supportive spouse who takes very good care of me and I know will be there with and for me no matter what. I am also grateful to have the men and women of this forum for insights and support which comes from an experiential standpoint and heartfelt listening. I am been uplifted already by many of the posts I have read within this and other forums. Thanks again for reaching out to me.
