Ultra sound guided Aspiration scheduled

I received my ultrasound results back after I was called back from a mammogram. Results are as followed. I do have RAD C dense breasts. Birad Cat =4.

Right breast shows partially circumscribed wider than tall hyperechoic complex cyst vs mass at 2-3 o'clock measuring 7 x9 x 5 mm. In the 4oclock position there is a 6 x5 x 3mm complex cyst with septation. Other smaller cystick lesons are noted in the glandular parenChama from 12-3.

Impression: complex thick walled cyst with septation suspected in the 2-3 o'clock position. Recommended ultrasound guided aspiration.

Additional 6 mth follow up ultrasound of a complex subcentimeter cyst at 4 o'clock.

Thoughts from anyone on eithe benign or malignant??

    Probably benign. I had pretty much the same situation-complex cyst vs. inframammary lymph node. It collapsed more with each pass of the needle-mystery solved. The incidence of malignancy associated with complex cysts is very low-something like 2%. The procedure was easy

    I presented with a lump that I found. It was determined to be hypoechoic complex cystic mass that turned out to (partially) be DCIS. The radiologist said he didn't think it was anything (I was 38), but I insisted on the referral and my bs immediately didn't like it. He aspirated some fluid, didn't like that either (it was amber colored) which he promptly sent to cytology. When are you scheduling your aspiration? My bs did mine right in his office on my first visit. Nothing to it. If the liquid is clear, that is a good sign. good luck for B9 findings!

    I went today for my aspiration. However, instead of the aspiration. The surgeon did a vacuum guided core biopsy and the removed the whole cyst. Then a titanium marker chip was placed in my breast. I should get results back Monday or Tuesday. But his thought are the results may be benign. We shall see.next week.
