Anyine get daily headaches after initial diagnosis. I am having them daily. Comes and goes and is mild. Different areas of the head. Thinking it may be stress related? Hope so don't like to think this has metastasized

Yes, ME. Headaches, upset stomach, pain in my arms, pain in my chest, shortness of breath, essentially the works. Cancer is hard news to take and to be frank, I still freak out every so often. It has, however, gotten better with time but I believe, at least for me, the fear will never completely subside. I was already a hypochondriac to begin with and am so good at 'manifesting' symptoms:( Reach out to your doctors' for help in this interim period. I was prescribed a low dose xanax which I took for the first month. It was of tremendous help in getting me through the most difficult initial period. I was very depressed when face with the reality of a new normal. However, this past year has given me a new appreciation for life and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I hope you will to.

yes, 100%, that was me. Dx 3/6/17 with dcis-mi. The initial shock and fear can obviously take a toll on your body. Even though I hate taking medicine, I knew I had to...just so I could begin functioning again. I had my BS prescribe a lose dose xanax, and trust me, I took it at night to help me relax. Don't drive with it in your system though! If you're like me, it zonked me out. It definitely made me sleep better, which in turn, made everything else (headache, nauseousness, etc) go away. You need to sleep! You'll function better in the morning, your head will be clear, and you'll be able to make the right decisions in regards to your treatment plan. Best of luck to you.

for me after diagnosis I felt like every pain was the cancer moving . It goes away once you understand your diagnosis a bit more . You will be fine . Although you don't feel it at the moment . Focus on yourself . and don't look too far ahead.

It sounds very like stress-related headaches, not metastasis. Some of us are still hyper-vigilant about every little ache and pain; we understand about these new worries, and we share them with you--know what it's like. Take something to relieve the pain and if you have some ways to relieve a bit of stress, do those, too. I had to flood myself with good stories (inspirational stories from other bc.ers) and stick to my regular schedule, it helped me feel normal in the face of so much new abnormality. I also didn't let my MO's office make appoints for me--they tried, in the beginning--and I hated it, like I was some child who couldn't work out my own schedule. I kept control over my own daily life, and that seemed to help.

Oh yes, and close to migraine level. Also agree with Kiks1 as far as all of her symptoms! I believe I am holding everything inside (not crying) in fear that once I start I won't be able to stop. As a result, my body is trying to find another way to deal with this.

So thankful to have found this group!

Me.  Had headaches after diagnosis, bones hurt etc., I was thinking maybe it had moved through my body.  I realized it was just stress.  I feel better now.  Of course (now) I just had my surgery, so I do feel some areas that aren't so strong yet.  I AM A SURVIVOR and YOU ARE TOO!

I have also had mild pains in my headsince my diagnosis and I also have jaw pain. Has cancer spread? That is my biggest fear. I am working on not letting stress and worry make matters worse. Not knowing is very difficult. Support and info from others is VERY helpful.

Iknow what you mean! 5 days ago I was given an over-the-phone diagnosis of IDC (2 adjacent lesions and 1 lymph) of left breast and I'm waiting, waiting, waiting for my first appt with a surgeon in 3 days. Don't even have a report In hand yet so I can't enter a DX here. Since Wednesday I've had a headache (probably sinus or stress), tightness across my chest (maybe heartburn or GERD) and numerous aches and sensations in the affected breast and armpit (where I had 2 needle biopsies and titanium markers implanted). I believe my fears are fueling my imagination and plan to take the advice of new BCO friends and enjoy this Easter Sunday as I normally would - with my family and friends. The ladies (and men) on this site are so generous with their support. Their stories and personal experiences have brought me hopeand a greater level of calm (which, admittedly, comes and goes!) Sleeplessness is a problem and I plan to ask for anxiety meds, as some have suggested, if I can't get a good night's sleep soon. I know now that there will be more waiting in the days to come.

We can and will do this! I wish you the best.
