Thanks, Mods, for posting this. One could have wished the survey had gone a bit further to include some of the more outre treatments out there, but maybe next time around

I agree. I was disappointed in the list of complementary treatments they looked at because they are not really treatments. Which is why I guess the word "therapies" is used instead. These are just ways to reduce various symptoms related to the cancer and conventional treatments, and not addressing the cancer itself.

We want to know which supplements work and which ones don't or might be dangerous. Many questions also remain on the subject of diet and lifestyle changes after a cancer diagnosis. I think we all know there is more we could be doing if we only knew what it was, but we get warned away from everything that isn't mainstream, except for small concessions for complementary therapies like yoga and acupuncture for stress and the like. Give the people what they want! LOL

Solfeo, I meant more that they could have debunked more altrnatives that can be harmful.

As for alternatives that address the actual cancer, there is no real, solid evidence, which is why doctors have nothing on which to base an opinion

It crossed my mind that that was what you meant, but I think we want the same thing - more solid evidence. One way or the other.

Solfeo, yes, absolutely. It would also be great to have more detailed data bases tracking BC patients. Data bases that included treatments, life style parameters etc
