I worked at a therapy camp in the summers when I was in my early 20s. It was pretty intense. At the end of the season, most of the staff would head out for a camping trip in the North Dakota Badlands. Hiking, wading in the creek beds, drinking beer at a cowboy bar, watching the moon come up from the top of a butte, such great memories!

My son was in the Jazz Band in middle and high school, when he was in 7th or 8th grade (can't remember which), Ray Charles was giving a FREE concert in a town 100 miles away to all the Jazz Bands in the area. I begged the band director to be chaperone (which doesn't happen very often), so I got to see a great concert with an auditorium full of really excited kids. So fun!

Okay. I didn't attend this one but I personally know the bride (she used to date someone I know). The bride got so drunk at the the reception that she became belligerent. The police were called and she was arrested. True story!

I wasn't at this one either, but knew several of the main characters quite well. This was way back when I first started teaching, the vice principal (Mr. L.) was a very tall (about 6'6"), and very intimidating man (I was scared of him, and I was a teacher!). At his daughter's wedding, the groom was a NO SHOW. Mr. L. got so mad that he threw the beautiful wedding cake in a tall garbage can and then climbed in and started jumping up and down on it, while his wife yelled at him & his daughter cried hysterically!
It made quite a story for the teacher's lounge (and the daughter later eloped with the same guy.....probably didn't dare try the fancy wedding thing again!)
