I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend for those that celebrate Easter. Wondering if hermits are finding their way out of the cave after the winter?

Shared this on a few threads, my claret cup starting to bloom

It's been so warm in the house since Sunday that our heat hasn't even been on once. Was in the mid 80s Sunday. Don't think that I have ever seen it that warm on Easter in my life

It is starting to warm up here in my little corner of Canada.

Its not 80, but its sunny and about 55 degrees. (13 degrees Celsius). My rosebush I planted last year is sprouting leaves.

Whaling- ah the Nutmeg State, place of my roots. May is always so beautiful there and coming up fast.

They call where I live now the Land of Enchantment. Sometimes we call it the Land of Dysfunction. Depends on the day.....

Jazzy: May's one of my two favorite months (the other being October). To me, May's perfect here. Can't wait!

6feet- agreed about those being the best two months in CT. I love April here, but Sept through early Nov are my fav times here in the southwest. I think the fall is good everywhere in this country, honestly!

Just had a really pleasant surprise happen a bit ago. Last year I reconnected with a friend from my freshman year of high school and I asked her to remind me of when her birthday was because I had forgotten when it was. Well she told me the date and it didn't dawn on me until I was going through my list of upcoming birthdays and I saw that her birthday and my wedding anniversary are the same day!!! Talk about weird coincidences!!!!!

Mommy- I have gotten bad with remembering birthdays. With the dates of your anniv. and her birthday, easier to remember!

Cold rain and snow around today. Last blast of winter (we hope....)

We had a late and rather large snow storm this weekend that brought a lot of rain to the valley where I live, and much snow to the mountains (a foot in some areas). The moisture is always good for us here in the high desert. The weather is clear again and temps moving back up again. You can see by this photo all our trees are out, with snow capped mountains in the background. We hope that is the last visit from old man winter.....

    Hey ladies:

I am going for fat grafting surgery tomorrow. Its supposedly "happy surgery" relatively speaking, but I am anxious. The funny thing is, before this second BC, I was never afraid or nervous about surgery. Now I am.

I would say my mutilation anniversary is this second BC, March 8th. I understand how Lily feels. Hugs again to you.

Wallan- we will be in your pocket tomorrow with the fat grafting surgery. Sometimes we have such anxiety with surgery, other times not. I hope you wake up feeling peaceful and have good outcomes from this next step.

Hugs to all the women having cancerversaries.

Wallan - hope all went well today, the biggest risk from fattransfer surgey is infection so keep an eye on how you are feeling and if you don´t feel normal even if you do not have a temperature then go to the Doctors, otherwise its a pretty easy recovery....I was doing well on self funded fat transfers but then got an infection and lost everything I had plus more, devastating is not the Word, cannot afford to pay out any more as it cost me around 20000 dollars and i am not able to work full time anymore...

Am sure you will be fine, drink lots of fluids and relax xx

    Hey Ladies:

Fat grafting surgery went well. The PS decided to do fat grafting to my right side chest wall and to the left side to fill in dips around TE. She harvested fat from my outer and inner thighs and lower abdomen. You should see me...I have several donor site incisions and places where they put the fat on my chest. I am starting to bruise pretty good.

I did have a weird experience after recovery though. This time my anaesthia went well. I had miminal shaking. Yeah!

But, I had chest pain under my sternum which kept getting worse and my heart starting racing. I was very quickly evaluated for a heart attack. I was given oxycodone, then two does of dilaudid, then 2 doses of morphine to see what removed the pain. Nothing removed the chest pain.

The EKG, chest xray and heart attack blood markers were negative. There was alot of discussion about my racing heart and high WBC though.

They sent me home though and told me to return to ER if any swelling, or short of breath, or fever, or faintness develops. Talk about freaked out, I was. But, once I got home, I took the Ativan my family doc prescribed the other day and slept like a baby. The chest pain has disappeared.

My friend and I diagnosed my symptoms as another panicky episode. Sigh....

I do feel better after this surgery than the last one now. I am very happy I have Ativan.

Wallen- glad things went okay, outside of a scary possible heart attack (eek). I had those anxiety attacks with chest pain, very scary. But you had people right around you to help if you needed anything. Glad you slept well. May the healing begin.......

Wallan- not during surgery or cancer stuff. Just had pains in the past in my chest and was told this when I had it checked out. I was young when it happened. It made me aware of anxiety attacks and what they felt like?
