faslodex and neuropathy

Options

I have been on faslodex since March. Around the same time I noticed my feet became numb. There was a burning sensation in my calves and considerable pain around my knee caps. I wondered if anyone has experienced something similar.

Hi Docallegra, welcome to BC.org! Sorry you have to be here for this reason... but glad you found this wonderful community!

We're sure you'll get responses from other members soon. In the meantime, the main Breastcancer.org site has an article about Faslodex where you can learn more about some of these side effects and how to manage them. Hope this helps!

Maybe this is way too late to be of help to you, but I am currently on Faslodex and have the worst neuropathy! Started out fine for the first few months, and then started noticing some above the injection sites, on my hips. Then the fronts of my legs and stomach, then my feet, and now around the backs of legs and sides of torso. My onc doesn't want to say it is the Faslodex, but I went ahead with one more set of shots last week, and sure enough, it got way worse after that. Will be having a brain MRI just to be sure it's not something central, but if that's normal we will discuss stopping the Faslodex. I am sure hoping it will subside, at least somewhat.
