Nipple Biopsy waiting for results
I just had a punch biopsy on my right nipple. It has been severely itchy for a long time. I have gone to the doctor, had mammograms and utlrasound and nothing shows up except an enlarged lymph node. but the doctors are not concerned. I have had 2 lumpectomy's on the same breast both benign. I am really frustrated because I have been to the dermatologist and it isn't eczema or anything like that. I don't have crusty or flaking. Just major itching and the areola is slightly darker than the left one. Has anyone had anything like this that comes back as cancer or Paget's? I feel like I am crazy because the doctors keep saying nothing is wrong. thanks.

How frustrating! Please do let us know about the biopsy results. Have you and the surgeon discussed investigating the enlarged lymph node (e.g. a biopsy)? Also have they done an ultrasound or an MRI of your breast as well? Have you discussed Pagets with your surgeon?

Hi, I have had an ultrasound that showed the lymph node but they said it's not concerning. and to come back in 6 months. The surgeon said she doesn't think it's Paget's. Because there is not crusting or flaking.

I'm a 36 year old female with infertility and no family historyof breast cancer. I have an itchy, scaly, flakey lesion on areola (no nipple involvement) that has doubled in size in the 3 months since it first presented. It seems to be growing toward the nipple. About a month ago I realized that a lump had formed above it and was promptly sent to imaging. I had a diagnostic mammogram and breast ultrasound which revealed nothing and was given a clean report.
I was still not completely relieved so I met with a dermatologist on Monday and he performed a punch biopsy of the lesion. I'm absolutely terrified that it's going to turn out to be Paget's. I'm impatiently waiting on the path report to come back. I hate waiting!!!!!!! It's soooooo hard!!!!

thank you so much for your advice and encouragement! I've been trying to calm myself down to no avail. I just think the results aren't going to be good.
