Recently dignosed with Granulomatous Mastitis. Couple more weeks of antibiotics before I go in my surgeon to discuss further treatment plan of steroid therapy.

Meanwhile, anyone else here has the same dignoses and would like to share what do expect?

I posted here few times in the past when I found my first lump and had a scare that it may be IBC (even my breast surgeon agreed at that point), but finally after 9 months of testing, biopsies, multiple surgery to remove parts of my breast, I have dignoses. Feeling relieved at the fact that my condition finally has a name, but at the same time feeling scared because it turns out to be rare condition. Due to the rare nature, im having hard time finding actual stories of people who share the same condition.

    Scarlet, Hi, I remember you from your earlier posts.I am glad you finally know what is going on, and so glad it is benign. I do not know of this particular diagnosis, I am bumping your question to the top of the active threads so more people will see it, and hopefully you will get more responses. Hoping you are feeling somewhat better, just knowing what is going on gives us a boost. Hugs

    Hi Scarletprinny! I wanted to know if you were able to resolve the GM.

    I was posting on here when I i was afraid my symptoms were due to a cancer related diagnosis. While I'm extremely relieved and thankful it was benign, I am still dealing with a similar issue to you that I'm hoping I can find a solution.

    I believe I may have GM as a core biopsy indicated an acute & chronic inflammation with focal Granulomatous inflammation (etc etc). My surgeon hasn't wanted to officially diagnose it yet so he put me on antibiotics (clindamycin for 7 days) but it's only getting worst.

    I'd love to hear back from you with your outcome and any advice as well.
