Lisa,
-
thank you! So far so good...

Lisa, The flowers are Gorgeous...
-
thanks ☺

now I have a little dilemma. My one eye sees one color and the left eye sees another
-
Did you have cataract surgery? If so, the operated one probably is seeing the correct color. Cataracts turn colors more yellow. I heard of an ophthalmologist who could tour an art museum and tell you what was wrong with the painter's eyes.
-
I just did have cataract surgery. A color challenge
-
guess that means that I should get the other done later this summer.
-
Hi Lisa,
I am glad your first eye surgery is over. I guess we are all having challenges on this thread. I spent the afternoon in urgent care. I had a cyst on my back that became very large and infected. It was not a pleasant procedure and I just about passed out. Now waiting to see if I will have to have surgery on it.
I had both eyes done two weeks apart and I don't remember experiencing color differences. I do remember having a severe eye infection and I was directing my jazz band and realized I was hearing a whole step difference in pitch from the different ears. That was crazy and annoying so I can imagine as a photographer that could be very interesting. Maybe time to explore black and white for a while.
Scottie, how are you coming along? I can't swim for a while so I may post some pics soon. Can't shoot very well with my splint.
Hopefully by summer we will all be back in the saddle!
-
Nancy, so sorry about the cyst. I had one on my back/shoulder years ago that did the same thing. Had a local surgeon remove it, luckily with just local anesthesia. Hope yours resolves.
I am slowly recovering from this surgery. It has not been easy but I expected that. I need to start really walking tomorrow. Too much pollen outside, so maybe slow and go on a dreadmill would be best. Still no lifting and if I use my arms more than a little, I pay for it at night. Hopefully I can start swimming in May. PS said no immersing in water before then.
As you said, we'll all hopefully be back in the saddle this summer.

Hope everyone's recovery is coming along as well as possible. I had my second visit to urgent care for a post op today and have to go back again on Friday as they put more packing in the wound. They gave me a referral for surgery but it is up to me to do it now or wait. I have to wait until the infection is gone and healed. I can't have it done in the immediate future as I will be back staying with my mom for three weeks in May. I have had this same cyst removed once already. I was up until 2:30 this morning trying to get this large monitor callibrated. There were no directions other than looking on a website and it was certainly not as simple as using my Spyder that I use on my laptops. I am only at the beginning of this huge learning curve as this comes with this elaborate software and the monitor can be tweaked in a million different ways. I am at the Kindergarten stage right now! I imagine I will be at this stage for a long time!
-
Nancy, went for a follow up appointment with my ophthalmologist and a long but helpful meeting with a pharmacist in internal medicine to set up a pain.management plan. She was knowledgeable and through and helpful. Then I figured I needed a new laptop so stopped and did it. Now I have to tell my DH
HMMMMM
You all take care. I decided I need a wife. Not that it is nice to have DH around but he doesn't have a clue. LOL
-
Lisa, sometimes a dose of retail therapy is just what the doctor ordered! Enjoy your new laptop. I just got one to hopefully be used just for my photo editing. I live alone with my cat and there is certainly only her wanting my attention to HER needs so I think I understand. I am sure sorry to hear your pain issues. Is this a result of shingles or a mixture of your neuropathy and post herpetic (?) phase of shingles. I am guessing at that word and probably missed it by a mile.
After spending a ton on photo editing equipment here are some pics right out of the camera from a few weeks ago when I last went out shooting. Still in my wrist brace.
-
Lisa, DH and I agreed years ago that we both wanted a wife to manage the home stuff. Cooking, cleaning, etc.
-
Wren. . .if you find a "wife" please ask if she has a sister or cousin. Lol, what I really need is an Alice from the Brady Bunch: laundry, cooking, cleaning and keeping up with the kids.
Lisa. . .hope you are recovering quickly. I'm finally starting to get some energy back.
