HaHa Chevy so true! We spend a lifetime acquiring only to figure out how to unload all the crap later! Being a recent transplant myself that made me smile. Spring is springing Patty, feel good and best of luck with the move.
-
Great news you are out Patty. Please God for a stretch of plain sailing as you get your new home sorted. XXX
-
Patty, so glad you are back home. I hope that all the new changes in your life promote healing of the soul and body. I wish you the best. Take time to enjoy the moment.
-
Hey Patty, thinking of you.
I just got an invitation today for this year's Ocean Grove 63rd Annual Choral Festival.
Last year's theme was "A Vision of Heaven." This year's theme is "In the Footsteps of our Savior."
I thought you might enjoy following along with me as you did last year.

Sending you lots of love, prayers, and music. Love, Madelyn

madelyn. Congrats. Love to follow and listen to you. What a gift you have !!!
I am getting stronger every day. Gonna try to get up extra early tomorrow to o to an estate sale. Fingers crossed I find some good deals. I am needing everything from furniture to silverware and everything in between. Already got a great kitchen table and chairs. I had no idea how much stuff I would need before moving. Thankfully it's almost rummage sale season.
-
Patty it's almost as we are there with you. I could feel your excitement. How terrific. Shop away. Have loads of fun!!!

Peppermint! I haven't heard you sound THIS good in forEVER!!! Yes, I too, wish I could give you some of my "stuff".... There is always Walmart, and the Dollar store, for little things though, Hah!
I remember one of the times my folks were doing their "I'm GONE" thing, and them talking about divorce, and my Brother and I just thought.... Oh well, what else is new.... now what.... And it always worked out.
When they finally moved to California, I DID get Mom's old wringer-washer, and my old wooden bed frame, and their even OLDER dining-room table & chairs... Hah! It was stored in my Grandma's garage, where I went to live until we could afford to get married.
MAN! We started out with all "left-overs".... Even our first box of groceries was given to us by my GrandParents... And in our own little 1/2 of a tiny double, we made it work! But don't get a wringer-washer with a galvanized tub.... Not even an ice-box....Too much work!
Have you thought about bunk-beds for the boys? Our girls LOVED them... Even when Sheri fell off the top bunk in her sleep..... Just got up, climbed back on top and went back to sleep! We heard this THUD, and I ran up-stairs, but she was fine.... Hah! COULD have been so much worse... THEN she realized that "bar" did have a purpose.....
-
Patty- hopping on your thread here. I am sorry to hear about things changing with your marriage. You sound ready for this. And living in a lower stress environment will definitely be the best for your health. But just the same, sorry friend.
A condo sounds perfect. I love my house but it is a lot of time and money to maintain. You might really enjoy the change with less to take care of. More time to take care of you.....
I hope you find all kinds of good sales. Check out thrift shops, consignment stores, etc. too if you cannot find what you want. I wish I lived closer too, I have all kinds of stuff that might be useful!
-
popping in to say hi. I've been out flat in couch for a few days. Really really overdid it. Darn limitations. Oh well will rest and get better only to do it again.
-
Be kind to yourself Patty
No more hospital visits for you!
-
I know Peppermint.... It's just that when you feel "better" all of a sudden you feel like Wonder-woman, and it eventually catches up with you... Just slow down, and take it easy!
-
-
Patty, hope you're up and around again soon! I know it's hard to take it easy when you feel good and have a lot to do. I overdid myself yesterday and am hobbling around like an old lady today. Feel better!
-
Yes especially when you have moving to do, soon easy to overdo it. I am just now feeling my shoulder feel better after our move. I wish I lived closer to you too. I am a major tightwad and LOVE bargain shopping the yard sales. I personally am loving the smaller living!
