Exemestane

I'm going to start exemestane. i would like to hear feedback about this aromatase inhibitor.

    IHi sealight, I have been on exemestane for nearly a year. It is my second AI. Anastrozole made me feel quite unwell. Exemestane has been pretty much side effect free for me except for occasional hot flashes.

    I was one of the 25 percent of women on exemestane who have severe joint issues with this medicine. My advice would be to report right away to your MO if you start having joint issues. I definitely tried to tough it out too long (knuckles and toes were so swollen I could not wear rings or shoes!). (celebrex helped but ultimately I went back to tamoxifen). Good luck!
