This is my first post :)

History: 28yo, ER HER2+ stage IIB 10cm mass with 7/12 nodes involved, RAD 51 mutation, diagnosed December 16, 2016. Currently 1 week post 3rd chemo, 3 to go before surgery and possible radiation. No longer menstrating.

My boyfriend and I of 4 years have never had a problem with our sex life until October when my mass started developing. Since then due to hormonal inbalance I have either been hot or cold. Since chemo started I have been more tired leading to less bedroom time. My MOJO typically returns about 1 week post chemo and sticks around as long as I dont over-do things at work and exhaust myself.

I have read many women having issues with vaginal dryness, but I'm having the opposite issue. I have to constantly have a panty liner and change frequently because I'm so afraid of bacterial growth. I'm so lubricated HE cant handle it. Until this point I havent ever had any issues with lubrication. It's always been just right for the task at hand. We have tried both with and without condoms and that hasnt seemed to make a difference. This is BEYOND frustrating for me because it's a rare occassion when we can have sex and then we we finally do I cant turn off the faucet. We've tried no foreplay, we've tried a towel its literally driving me crazy!

Anyone share my not-so-much of a blessing?

If you are on tamoxifen, that could be the issue. I'm so sorry...28 and breast cancer is just a cruel joke by mother-nature.

You poor girl :( usually an increase of estrogen creates lots of lube. Curious why you are not menstruating anymore. Please don't be offended, you are so young. I wonder if maybe a different hormone replacement can balance it out? I would definitely talk to your Oncologist.

Tamoxifen has increased discharge for me (not necessarily lubrication)...but if you're on Tamoxifen this could be related to that.

GAMomma-The chemo probably stopped her periods. Chemo throws a lot of young women with BC into early menopause. It takes a long time for periods to return, and some never do.
