NED 4 Yrs with Stage 3 Lobular. Now worried about IBC

Options

I am concerned about a small dimple underneath the cancer side. It feels heavy, tiny dimple but pain/ muscle pain radiates to arm pits to back and shoulders. I had PAP flap reconstruction exactly 1 year ago and wonder if this could be a small suture coming to the surface. I will make an appointment with my dr tomorrow but in the meantime, a little preoccupied with concern that there is a recurrence. Wouldn't a new kind of cancer be considered a recurrence?

    Hey there:

Hugs to you and crossing my fingers you do not have a recurrance.

BTW, I was NED 13 years and now have a new breast cancer on the other side. Its NOT considered a recurrance.

    Good luck to you

Sometimes they are considered new cancers and sometimes recurrences. It depends on location, pathology and such. Let's hope yours is s stitch and not a recurrence

quilt, - I dont think your description sounds like ibc. I bet it is related to the reconstruction. ( I am still very uncomfortable from mine, and the aches and pains get worse if I make certain moves.)

Take a deep breath and don't let your imagination take over!

Let us know what your dr tells you.
