Has anyone found any variation in compression sleeves for warmer weather? I hate that the sleeve make me feel so hot and then I end up not wearing it as much during the summer. This year I'm going to be studying abroad and they don't have AC like we do here, so I'm wondering if anyone has found a solution to this?

I think flat knit custom are cooler. Have a water spray bottle near you and wet them down periodically but not having them wet all day long next to your skin.

Sleeves Do NOT offer sun protection. They burn right thru.

Yup—apply sunscreen first (let it penetrate) and then preferably wear long sleeves over the compression sleeve. (Shirtsleeve needn’t fit tightly—loose is cooler). Stay out of the sun too. And don’t forget the bug spray!

I have many chemical sensitivities and limit my use of sunscreen to the minimum. For a recent trip to Cuba I bought a couple of sun-blocking swim shirts from Land's End to wear over my sleeves. They do a good job, don't wrinkle and dry very rapidly.

They don't help with the overheating problem, though. I don't think anymore tropical vacations are on the agenda for me. Winter has become my favourite season.

I find the Lymphadiva sleeves marginally cooler than the Jobst or the Mediven flat knits, but they all suck in heat and humidity.

A folding hand fan, abdominal breathing, and a loose shirt are the best ideas I can offer. I fly a lot and the sleeves are maddening.
